I have the IR2BT (www.ir2bt.com) and has worked flawlessly with my old Harmony 688, my new Harmony One, and my PS3.

The 550 is a great remote. Personally, I don't think having to change batteries is a big deal, as they last a long time. I also understand what everyone says about the number buttons on the bottom being too small and close together, but I've found that if I just push them with confidence and ignore the fact that I can feel the other buttons around the one I want, I almost always get the channel I want. I've paired mine with a PS3 Toothfairy to control all functions of my PS3 seamlessly. Go for it; it's a great remote that's easy to set up on the computer.

Interestingly enough, the PS3 Toothfairy now appears to be the cheaper option versus the IR2BT.

89$ for the PS3 Toothfairy...

The Bluwave is 15$ (it's basically an usb ir adapter)

But the Bluwave doesn't let you turn your PS3 on or off.

Out of interest, does the IR2BTci offer anything the PS3 ToothFairy doesn't? The Toothfairy is quite a bit cheaper.

The blu-wave doesn't allow the ps3 to turn on. But the new firmware to the ps3 allows the blu-wave to select "turn-off" in the XMB. The turning on of the ps3 is not a dealbreaker for me since the PS3 automatically turns in when you put a disc in. And if you're gaming with the ps3, you could always turn it on with the gamepad.

I used to use the Blu-wave when I kept my PS3 on 24/7, but once I started shutting it off I wanted something I could turn the PS3 on and off with.

Can you program Harmonys to operate more than one tv. So, can I use it with my living room tv, then go back to my bedroom tv and use it there?

I've never done it before but I think you can. When setting up activities, just make sure you're using the right devices in the same location.
