Honestly, I don't see why everyone hates Vista. I use it all day long at work and have ZERO problems.

I was really surprised they ever let their movies on the Xbox service. Microsoft tried to strangle the Blu-ray market in the crib.

From what I've used on a family members laptop, I'll stick with my XP pro too. Vista is just awful.

What's even more pitiful is MS ran ads with what appeared to be unemployed bums telling people "wow! this is vista! It's great" It's obvious vista has a bad rap, but then to tell people "hey it's not thaaat bad" on TV....

I've been using Vista since the beta. It's an extremely stable OS, and if you are into home entertainment networking, it can't be beat.

Most of the people who bash it either don't know how to customize to get rid of the features they don't like, are trying to run it on a machine that is not powerful enough for it, or have actually never even tried it themselves and are just parroting what they have heard.

The ONLY problem I have ever had is that it is more difficult to add a network printer that is hosted on an XP machine.

If I was forced to upgrade then yep, I'd spend the time to customize it like I wanted. The one I used was just tough for me to navigate. MS office was extremely tough to find toolbars / buttons etc. Overall, I fear change and decided to pass on it. Until I have to get a new laptop and am forced to learn it.

I think the best way for Sony to fire back would be to add netflix to the PS3...but in the meantime I guess it's a little entertaining to laugh at no sony movies on the xbox...

What's going to be funny is when they work out the licensing agreement and all of the conspiracy theorists that have posted are going to have to eat crow.

Sony's a huge company- they're not going to hold grudges when big business (such as a nice contract with Netflix) is in play. If this is something that will get their movie division profit, expect to see it pull through despite the fact that it could be a bullet point against their gaming division.

lol... honestly you guys crack me up.

Thank God, finally someone reasonable.

I use my PS3 for DVDs and Blu-Rays, my 360 for games, and now Netflix, and my Wii for... well... bowling, I guess. I think the new Netflix addition is really pretty damn cool.

hey..don't you come in here making sense and all that jazz, don't you know we have a reputation to uphold here!

but seriously..its already been debunked, and i posted it in the other thread since this was the repost thread. but its not a conspiracy, as much as the fanboys would like it to be. unless they're just saying that to fool us!

Well I a consumer first, I don’t see this as a plus for anyone other then Sony. I have a PS3 and a 360, I this is a stupid thing to do. I mean if my PS3 could stream netflix then that is one thing but for Sony to do this and give me no other option but to watch it on my laptop sucks. I mean what IF and I’m just saying WHAT IF, Microsoft says to netflix “we want to restrict streaming to everything but windows PC and Xbox 360. I mean the software netflix uses to stream videos is Microsoft’s silverlight. So then my ps3 will never get netflix either will people who own Macs. How anyone can think this is a good thing is just not thinking.

Good for you SONY! I'm glad they did this. I'm for one sick and tired of all the bs of xbox games getting exclusive downloads and levels while the ps3 version not only doesn't get it but gets downgraded in graphics because it's made for 360 and ported over. SONY needed to step up and do something.

If MS/Netlfix did that, then Netflix would go out of business and a competitor would jump out and take over.

Seriously, if Netflix limited themselves to windows PCs, 360s, and didnt have Sony's movies, they'd (Netflix) be totally screwed.

And I find it funny when people claim to be "neutral" just because they own all 3 systems. Then they come in and preach to everyone about how they're so much smarter than all us "fanboys". Its such weak justification for the most part, as these so called "neutral" gamers often trash one system or the other anyways.

Owning all 3 systems doesnt prove neutrality. All it proves is you're a hardcore gamer.
