AMAZON Trying to force people to get Prime?

There was even one day, where I ordered the item at like 8am and received it at 5:30 that same day. I didn't choose any special shipping either, just the 2 day Prime. Prime is worth every penny to me.

I have a Prime account and I've found that if I place an order before 10am EST, I usually get it the next day. Though it really depends on which warehouse its coming from, but 8 out of 10 times if I order it in the morning I get it by early afternoon the following day.

Whenever I get super saver shipping I almost always get a message the next morning that it's shipped with tracking numbers. I then have the package in 2-3 days. I've yet to see a point of getting Prime.

Your thread title doesn't have anything to do with the complaint at hand You chose free shipping at checkout, I am guessing.

yea I agree there, have used 2 accounts and bought one with prime and the other standard and prime always ships first, always. So I call your bluff

What is the estimated delivery date? You always have to consider the latest date they give you. And if you bought from an independent seller it depends on how fast and when they shipped it to you.

Well seems like we are screwed on the islands once again!

I have bought Prime together to share with a family member last year. All it said is that free 2-Day shipping is not available to Hawaii. So we thought we might still get free Priority Mail, which did not apply as well. So basically down $40 a person... Now Amazon started to use this Parcel Pool shipping about half year ago for free shipping, which takes like 8-10 days to get here (estimated times are even 10-16 days). And now about a month ago they even use this method for paid standard shipping!!!
Now last week they shipped out Hellboy II on monday and it was in Hawaii on Wednesday, but was not delivered until the following monday! I called the postal service and asked if I could pick it up, but it was still with this Parcel Pool service who will bring it to USPS to be delivered to the door.
I contacted Amazon that I feel ripped off and all they replied with was that the delivery time is still within the estimated time they gave me at the time of order.

Well, now I am seriously going to consider whether to keep using Amazon or not. 2-Day UPS to Hawaii starts at $16 !

I still stand by this "AMAZON Trying to force people to get Prime" this has been shipped to a postal company two and a half hours from my house. I am sure if i had Amazon Prime they would have told them to make sure i get by Thurdsay, the lastest being Friday. But now i am sure it was stated because he doesn't have that Prime garbage make sure he gets it by Monday. I am off Thurday and Friday of next week anyway...so i have all the time to watch movies starting Wednesday Night. Amazon i will remember this when i order something next time...i will buy it USED instead of NEW. The used one gets here around the same time sometimes believe it or not sooner.

I bought a blu-ray player and four movies from Amazon on the same day. I don't have Prime.
I selected free shipping for all items so I knew it might take a bit longer. The player arrived in four days. The movies took about two weeks.
Was I unhappy it took two weeks to get the movies? Yes, but hey it was free shipping so really couldn't complain. (Good excuse to go out and buy a few Blus while I waited.)

My point is- spring for two day shipping if you want your items quickly.

I'm still not sure what the problem is? Of course, if you had Prime you would have gotten priority over FREE shipping. That's how life works generally. You pay more to a company you get better service. If you say Prime is garbage, but then you complain about not getting the same service as Prime without paying for it...well your arguement doesn't make much sense. No one is forcing you to get Prime, so don't cry when you don't get your package within 2 days.

Again as far as the USED merchandise, its up to the private vendor on how fast they ship their stuff. So that's really a hit or miss.
