I find it a bit odd that Brad Pitt was nominated before Will Smith for a golden globe. It makes me wonder if his performance in Seven Pounds is on par with Penn, Pitt, and Leo.

I agree with you. Though I now reside in Los Angeles, I'm from England and really didn't know much about Harvey Milk until I saw the film (I did work for a producer a while back who was working with Oliver Stone and I believe he was producing a project about Harvey Milk called "Mayor of Castro Street" which didn't happen... but I still didn't know all the details).

I watched MILK this past weekend and was actually shocked and surprised by the ending.

It's a tough call for spoilers when it's a true story, but I have to say if I knew the entire ending before I saw MILK, I don't think I would have enjoyed it nearly as much. I guess if you know history better than others, in situations like these, keep your lips sealed and let those who aren't as informed find out for ourselves. (or at least still use a *spoiler* tag or black out the text )

Edit: But I did know what was going to happen to William Wallace
