Yes. I haven't watched Kung Fu Panda, and Cars yet. The rest of my Blu-Ray purchases are movies I've seen at the theater first.

I recently turned to buying movies that I know will get watched more than once. I have been doing the netflix thing for movies that look interesting but don't want to just spend the money on something I do not know if I will like. Has worked out great so far and I have saved quite a bit of money with this process.

Back to topic: I have bought movies that will not get watched right away but I know will get watched several times in the future. This usually happens with deals that I can not pass up (Rambo 1-3 $25.00 ). I get busy and am not able to watch movies right away. Such is life.

That's me alright. I do plan on watching everything, it's just that I buy more than I'm able to watch. You never know when you're unable to buy any more, and then it's nice to have an unwatched pile. But I do collect all kinds of silly stuff (movies and other things).

Here's a link to my DVD/BD collection (5800, the rest is VHS and Laserdiscs): http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/Beastus

That is one incredible collection, if you ever want to adopt a 40 year kid I will be glad to just sit in your HT room and watch movies all day But serious that is the baddest collection I ever seen.

i definitely do this. most of the time i might buy 4-6 blus per week and i dont really have time to watch them all most weeks. but when i have some down time, i usually make up for it. i just use the collection pages on this site. if i buy a movie, but dont watch it, then i add it to my not watched list on here. then when im looking for a movie i just pull this site up and it makes my decision easier. there are some weeks when it seems that the only thing i do is watch blu-rays. for instance ive watched like 8 blu-rays in the last 7 days from my not watched list. my list is getting smaller now.

Definitely have a large back log. Whenever I find a really good sale I'll load up and then slowly watch all of them.

I actually counted last night before even reading the thread and I think I am at 34 sealed movies still to watch. I think I even have a couple that I opened but still haven't found the time to watch.

I have a "queue" but its mostly in my head. I somehow "know" what to watch or what I havent watched in a while and that helps to make a decision!

Certain films I watch during certain times of the year. For example:

October - I watch my horror films and of course Halloween!
November - JFK, Nixon, other political-themed films
Summer - More action romps

I'm thinking about putting my Netflix on hold so I can catch up with my unwatched Blu-rays. There's only three I haven't watched the entire thing ever, The Searchers, The Last Samurai and Band of Brothers. But there are a lot that I haven't watched since I've bought them. Like:
*2001
40 Year old Virgin
American Gangster
Almost Famous
Band of Brothers (On Episode 3)
*The Bank Job
Big Fish
Blow
*Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
Cars
*Cast Away
Chicken Little
*A Clockwork Orange
*Close Encounters of the Third Kind
*Cool Hand Luke
*The Cowboys
*Days of Glory
*The Die Hard Collection
*Dirty Dozen
Dirty Harry Collection (I'm through Magnum Force)
*Dog Day Afternoon
The Doors
Eyes Wide Shut
*A Few Good Men (which i need to get to, cuz I've never seen it not in Pan and Scan)
Flags of Our Fathers
Glory Road
The Godfather Collection
*Home of the Brave
Invincible
Iron Man
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
*A Knight's Tale
*L.A. Confidential
*Letters From Iwo Jima
*Lonesome Dove
*Meet the Robinsons
Nightmare Before Christmas
Ocean's Eleven
Ocean's Twelve
Pirates of the Carribean Trilogy
The Proposition
*First Blood
*The Recruit
Resident Evil
*Resident Evil: Extinction
Rocky
Rocky Balboa
Semi-Pro
The Shining
Sleeping Beauty
*Sukiyaki Western Django
Superman: The Movie
Superman Returns
*Tears of the Sun
Terminator
Terminator 3
Top Gun
*Troy
*Twister
The Matrix Collection
Underworld
Underworld: Evolution
Wall-E
*We Own The Night
*Wyatt Earp

The ones with an asterisk are ones that I rented or saw right before I bought it, so the list is kind of skewed, but still... yeah I guess you can say I have a "To be watched" queue.

Probably nearly half of my collection, I have not watched yet. I don't have much time during the semester to watch many movies... but I find so many good deals that I jump on them. Then I just get around to watching them... maybe one movie a week during the semester, and a movie each day during breaks. =D... we're coming up on break time so I'll be breaking many of them in.

Wow! Some of you have quite the backlog. It makes me feel pretty good about the four I haven't watched yet. I'm not one to sit on an unwatched blu for long, but there were quite a few good sales last month.

This has only happened twice with me when I was making so much money more than I should have at an age where compulsion was a problem but it was The Patriot: Extended Cut and The Professional DVD's pre-BD. I still haven't watched them but luckily I remember only spending like bargain bin prices on them.

I open every movie right away to check that the disk looks OK.

If I can't watch it right away I add it to my queue.

Usually my queue runs from 0 to 10 titles. It tends to build up after sales, Christmas and birthdays.

I never used to watch all the bonus material for DVDs, but I am trying to do that for all the Blu-rays. So my queue has two checkboxes per movie--one for the movie and one for the bonus material.

So yes, you are not crazy having a queue...or we are both crazy.

Half of my Blu-Ray collection is in a massive "to watch" pile that I imagine the holidays will only make larger. Plus, there's the library DVD's I get, the DVR'd movies and tv on my DVR, the stuff I've downloaded off the net and the regular DVD movies and the TV DVD's I haven't looked at yet.

Just to give you a taste of my backlog, here's what I got. the * indicates ones that I've looked at but havn't gone completely through yet.

Blu-Ray
2001: A Space Odyssey
The 40 Year Old Virgin
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen: 20th Anniversary Edition
Casablanca: Ultimate Collector’s Edition
A Clockwork Orange
Cool Hand Luke: Deluxe Edition
Dark City: Director’s Cut*
The Day The Earth Stood Still: Special Edition*
The Descent
Eyes Wide Shut
Full Metal Jacket: Deluxe Edition
Goodfellas
Heroes: Season 1*
Heroes: Season 2
L.A. Confidential*
The Last Waltz
The Nightmare Before Christmas: Collector’s Edition
Planet of the Apes: 40 Year Evolution Blu-Ray Collection
Shine A Light
The Shining
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Thing*
Young Frankenstein*

Regular DVD
Apollo 13
The Big Red One
House of Sand and Fog
Network

TV DVD
Doctor Who: The Complete First Series
Looney Tunes: Gold Collection Vol. 2-4
The Sopranos: Season 5
Spaced: The Complete Series *
Star Trek: TOS Seasons 1-3

Weekends are the only time I really get to watch any of them. And even those are taken up with movies in the theater. I'm a movie theater junkie, so I see over a hundred films a year in the theater. I was so glad when RAGING BULL and SERENITY were announced so that I could put them in my "to pawn" pile. Any DVD I have that gets a Blu-Ray of I put in a pile in my closet to make room on my shelves for DVD's. And those were two on my regular DVD pile. Of the four that I have left, I'm going to hold off on APOLLO 13 since that's the one most likely to be on Blu next year.

So yeah, if I could get like a month off paid vacation, that would be the best thing for me. I'd just stay in my apartment and try to get through it all. I think it would take a month, if I try to do two Blu-Rays a day.

I usually watch a movie I buy immediately or as soon as possible. The only ones I still need to watch are Heroes, Season 1 and Band of Brothers.

First thing I do when I buy it is unwrap it. It's my policy.

For the most part, most of the unopened disc I have, I have seen the movie already (though it was a dvd copy)

Some in my "blu to be watched pile" are:

Hellboy
TDK (have not seen this yet)
Hitch (have not seen this yet)
Saw
The Punisher
Earth the biography (have not seen this yet)
Spiderman 3 (have not seen this yet)
28 days later (have not seen this yet)

Just to name a few. Some like The Punisher and Hellboy I have bought on blu and gave the DVD copies to my sister
