A big game where the cut scenes are actually gameplay scenes. That is what I'm waiting for.

Given the rate of expansion for the games, I do think games will get to the point where they would use a 400-500GB disc. But I also think that that will not happen in the "lifetime" of the PS3. Perhaps the PS4 will support it. If movies/series are ever released on that format, then I would imagine the PS3 would upgrade, but I HIGHLY doubt any movie or series will ever be released to a 400GB BD unless they give it a new name altogether to avoid more confusion.

While I think the PS3 can handle the upgrade, the games are not getting big enough fast enough to warrant such an upgrade. Once the games start to reach that level, the devs tend to find ways to make their codes and art more efficient and higher quality, which means we will see 50GB games for a long long time before we see anything bigger.

only use would be to put multiple games on 1 disc.
Considering that MGS4 used up the better part of a 50GB BD, I'd say a 60+ hour RPG or action/adventure (Zelda, Okami) heavy on cinematics and voicework could make a good case for use of larger BD such as the 400GB.

Pretty sure MGS4, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2 are meant to be 50GB DL Blu-ray's.

MGS4 could have used a higher capacity BD for dual lossless language tracks. FFXIII will easily fill a disk with a single lossy language track. With a higher capacity BD they could probably up the quality of their FMV further, even go 1080p.

I don't see the need for a disc that big for games. HOWEVER I can see the potienal in it with more advanced graphics and to have the ability to create a game where you're in an entire fully functional city where you can enter every floor and every room in each building.
