statements like that crack me up. can you honestly say you have never copied anything? dont act so high and mighty. This thread had nothing to do with coping anything, it was all about the fact that Planet of the Apes wouldnt play in PowerDVD. I HAD to get AnyDVD HD to get it to work.

It really doesn't matter if it is stopping anything or not, it is not your call on whether they need to back off or not. What you are doing is illegal, and you can try and paint it anyway you want to so as to justify your illegal actions, but it is still wrong. How you guys can come on here and discuss your illegal actions is beyond me. ![]() |

It's like this - I paid for this shiny disc I have in my hand.
If for some unforeseen reason it refuses to play, I have every right to try and make it play. If that means using a driver from SlySoft, so be it. It is not illegal for me to watch the movie I paid for. Is it? Did I ever post that I am reproducing and distributing anything? No. Then no piracy is happening. ![]() There are ways to copy whole discs - protection and all, but we aren't supposed to discuss these things and I will not be baited into doing so. ![]() What I'm doing is illegal... watching my bought and paid for Blu-rays... ok! No matter how you paint it, what *I* do with my hardware and media is not illegal and frankly I don't care what you think about it. Sorry. The CP does need to be backed off. The only people it is actually hurting is the paying customer. You, me, us. If the "pirates" want to copy and distribute media, no protection is going to even slow them down. All it will do is make people come here and wonder why their newest purchase fails to play. The "pirates" can, and will, copy it. Yeah, keep piling it on! ![]() Last edited by dadkins; 01-03-2009 at 08:40 PM. |
