I don't want a plasma, but I have nothing bad to say about them, they are nice. Just not my thing. I prefer LCD, next tv I'll get is the new LCDs with LED backlighting. which won't be another year or so or whenever my 630 poops out

Your 630 will probably last for a long time so i assume you mean whenever you get upgradeitis

Been looking at this unit for sometime now. Samsung 6 series seem to be reasonably priced, Although I got a glimpse of the 9 Series the other day @ Best Buy, and that is one sweet LCD. But that is another story with the cost being well over $4000 probably out of my price range. I like the 6 Series, specs are sufficiant, (more so) and I think the matte finish suits me better with glare factor from windows etc, that the 650 would cause.

Just wondering what people have to say about this LCD, pros and cons, (been reading allot already) too much if you ask me, and am ready to BUY!!! But am still having doubts on maybe just maybe splurging for the 950 but can't justify the cost to the "lady" in my life.

Best Buy (Canada) recently added the A630 to there flyer this week, and was wondering if people here think this is a good deal.

52LNA630 - $2699 comes with the Samsung BDP-1500 bluray player, and a Samsung Home Theatre system. (Basic stuff) For $2199 LCD by itself.

OR

46LNA630 - $1999 comes with the Samsung BDP-1500 bluray player, and a Samsung Home Theatre System. (Basic stuff) For $1799 LCD by itself.

Now the Home Theatre is a nice throw in, but it would go to my secondary TV, since I already have a great receiver Yamaha HTR 6160 and Bose Acoustimas 10 Speaker Set.

I am coming from a 52inch screen right now, so downgrading in size maybe not the right idea, the room I am in now, might handle a 46" better but who is to say I am going to be in this house the rest of my life or TV time span. So I should probably stick with the 52" size. anybody else experience this before?

Thanks agian, any info greatly appreciated.

I have the 530 40 inch series and it looks fantastic. Sorry that it isn't the one you're looking for but I have a 400 series and now the 500 series and I like the 500 series more but I HATE where they put the remote sensor, it is all the way on the right hand side and seems to be sensitive.

For the $200 extra, I'd go with the Samsung BDP-1500 add on. This is the player I have and have had no problems with it.

the price for the tvs sound about right for BB, I know my brother got a 52 sony v series for $1700 at a CC that was closing, so I would say its sound about right, I think if you can get them from a canadian amazon, then it would save you a couple hundy, but thats up to you.

Honestly you cannot go wrong with a Samsung LCD. My suggestion is always buy the biggest one you can afford, and stepping down is a no-no.
