The demo is definitely a fair representation of the game in it's entirety; however, I felt a huge rush of adrenaline on certain levels and a much better sense of motion on the actual levels (demo is the prologue level) that I did not experience in the demo. There is different music tracks, chases, and obstacles to add to the sense of intensity. Even the first and second levels gave me an experience I didn't fully expect from the demo alone. Just pointing that out.

what should I get first?
This or Tomb Raider?

I love this demo but I think Tomb Raider might be better,

BTW, why don't Tomb Raider has Demo too, It'd be easier for me to decide which first.

I'm going to US (Orlando) on March through May, summer program @ Walt Disney World. Where's the best place to buy PS3 game near WDW?

I agree. If I play too much of ME, then I get a bit queasy. That's ok, since Mirror's Edge can be a bit hard on the brain...watching walkthrough videos on youtube will help as well, even on the easy mode. I tried the time trial mode...I didn't do better than others, but I recorded my time and will try to break it again soon.

Although some spots on the game can get rather frustrating I did enjoy the game. I'm almost done with the single player from what I have played so far I def will be playing it again on the harder difficulty and see how I do.

This game is on my list. I'm just waiting for a price drop since everybody seems to say it is short. How are the trophies? easy or hard to get?

Honestly I have it on the other system not the PS3 and now that you mention it I'm not sure if I have any trophies at all on the PS3.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Mirror's Edge. I found it to be a unique and fun game. A lot of people have complained about the length (or lack there of..) In my opinion the length was perfect. It's one of the games that's short and sweet. If it was any longer I'd probably get bored of it before finishing it.

I liked the game but I didn't like....
The Controls: For one I wish they would have spent time refining the controls sometimes it like they were either hyper responsive or not at all. Depending on what you are doing. Not a huge problem but annoying sometimes.
They tutorial makes a big thing about "runners vision" but as the game progresses you have to be damn near on top of the object before it turns red.Where as in the tutorial the stuff is red from about 20 feet away! This was way annoying if it wasn't for the circle button pointing you in the right direction. They could have left the "long" way like the tutorial and made the faster ways where you had to be on top of it to "see" the path.

The combat: I did not like at all. One when you get a gun you have no idea how much ammo is in it. I found the moves she uses on the load screens more entertaining than the actual combat moves in the game itself.

The length: I would have liked it a bit longer but unfortunately until they stop making games to fit a single dvd the true potential for games on blu-ray will only be realized by Sony's first party developers. If the game looks good and its cross platform your looking at 5-8 hours max.

That said I did enjoy it overall.
I liked: The story and characters (Merc and Faith).
Trophies!!!

Some of them seem like they will be hard to get.
The look of the cut scenes (anime/comic book)
Speed run
Time Trials Look at the times that are posted on the servers

(not mine, I suck)

Bottom line Is it worth $60.00? = NO
Is it worth $30-40.00? = Yes

i think the speed run and time trials make up for the short story game though.

even though they can get frustrating. this game is all about memory and remember where to go on each stage. and learning faster ways around is another story. most of the time trials force you to not make any mistakes and if you do you better have a short cut or else you will not make it in the marked time and advance to open other speed runs and time trials.

Thread revival.

Picked this up a couple weeks ago and just finished it, really, really loved it. Can't believe how much people disliked this in this thread. Maybe it has become a cult-followed game since then, since I've heard nothing but great things about it and how much people want a sequel.

Overall, the looks and aesthetic is really cool, and the first-person traversal aspect is awesome. I could have done with less combat though. I know most probably say it adds excitement or difficulty, but in the end, to me, it just adds unnecessary frustration. Just my opinion though.

Great soundtrack too, really loved the ambiance it set. And great visuals too, for a game that is 3 years old. If DICE did another, I could see there being some really stunning visuals and lighting, and I think a possible freeroam aspect, even if after the campaign, would make for great fun.

I loved it too, Trace, one of my favorite games this gen. I normally suffer from height-induced vertigo (Great wall of China was a beautiful, horrid *****!) and the game sometimes freaked me out when I played it on my projector screen, but in an honest-to-god exhilarating way. I heard that DICE is making a sequel using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, but the chatter died down incredibly quickly.
