What focal range are you using?

Honestly, I think it is the quality of that lens that is giving you the barrel distortion. The closer you get to 18mm on that lens the more you will notice it. However, once you get to around 30mm on that lens, you will notice pincushioning (the opposite of what you see -- everything gets pushed out instead of sucked in.)

I have used the Nikkor 14-24/2.8 and have seen very little issues with in this respect, but then again for $1500+, it better be good.

no kidding $1500 is more than the camera plus the current lens combined.

dont remember what the focal range is set at. i notice tho if i zoom in too much i'd see moire effect.
