i created that thread like a week ago, and as a result of the responses went out and bought it. 4 episodes in, i couldn't be happier with the choice i made

sidenote CircuitCity has the Blus for $50 this week, not as good as Best Buy's 37 but not as high as Amazon's 54 either.

I should have jumped on this when it was 37 bucks!!! That's a steal!!! Watched it on dvd, and loved every minute... Can't even imagine the blu-ray experience. I'll get it eventually!

I really wanna pick this up, but I just don't wanna pay $50 for it. I will wait until is less than $40 and bite.

I am a huge fan of war films, so I can't wait to see the PQ and AQ on this!

Where was you 2 weeks ago? Thats when i decided to pull the trigger and yet to watch but for $37 i know when i decide to it will still be higher in the stores.

I'm on my 4th disc and I would say yes about 2 minutes in on my 1st episode. This show is unbelievable and everything bounces off the screen on blu. I had never seen it before I got it as a Christmas gift, and I have been the absolute opposite of disappointed. Get. This. NOW.

I got the $37 deal on it and I ran straight to the Bastogne episode. I know to expect some grain but in the beginning, the soldier walking in the woods with the snow had his face almost completely washed out by grain. Details in the trees were amazing...

Is this how it was supposed to look? I haven't tried any of the other episodes yet.

What are you doing watching the episodes out of order? Yes, as a whole, this series is very grainy, but IMO it fits the material quite well. I think all the snow gives the appearance of more grain in the Bastogne episode, but it's really no more or less grainy than any other episode. Battle sequences and night scenes seem to be the most grainy on the whole. Go back to episode 1 and start over. Silly goose.
