Lie? How are they lying? They're rehearsing words from a script or possibly improvising scenes. I'm aware a correlation can be made between pornography and actual films, but real films have plot devices, heart, character, etc. It's not all about the sex.

I'm not a porn fan myself. I've probably seen two in my lifetime (which is probably a bit longer than many here)...... but I don't see why it should bother me one little bit if my neighbor enjoys it. Free country...... doesn't affect me one bit..... pursuit of happiness.... all that good jazz. If you're not judging people who enjoy it.... why do you think we need to get rid of it?

Back on topic.... I don't think that Larry Flynt for one second REALLY expects to get any kind of bailout. That's just his way, I think, of making a statement about the whole current economic situation and the government's response.

What was that movie where Woody Harrelson played Flynt? That was a really good movie!

Why do you single out "sex" as if it was something unrelated to human nature ?
Sex is like eating, sleeping or breathing, a natural part of life that has been vilified by people throughout the ages. I never really understood the taboo surrounding sex. You can watch people eat or talk or sleep or whatever but watch them have sex and it's the end of the world. Heck you can watch people kill each other in the news or in movies but have Janet Jackson show her breast for literally half a second and it's the end of it all.

Exactly right. Of course they don't expect actual money.

However, I actually talked to an analyst at my job (stock market data) and he said that the porn industry was actually the section of the entertainment industry that was in the worst shape. Music, mainstream movies, etc. haven't taken nearly as bad a hit from pirates and torrent sites, and with so much free smut available online, people are very lax to pay for any of it. And with your average skin flick going for a $10 premium over the latest Hollywood blockbuster, who can blame them?

Some adult BDs have a good story and production values. Pirates. There's also a Pirates 2. Some women enjoy erotica and pornography too. Pirates is available in a soft R-rated version too and it may even be at your local blockbuster Give the R-rated version a try; I don't think the R-rated version is on BD though.

I've never been able to find good prices for adult BDs. Cheapest place I've found is about $30-$45 (cduniverse)

Some "real" movies have real sex in them too like for example Caligula is on BD or will be. Not just Pirates but other "adult" movies have good stories to them. So the line between "real" movie and "adult" movie seems to be artificial.

The porn industry needing a bailout! That's funny because not matter what the outcome is people still need there porn. The porn industry is some expensive stuff look at how much a website is or DVD. If they need a bailout, then I need Katie Morgan. I love my porn, but the Gov. need not bailout the industry. You will always be able to make money off sex. That goes back even before we were born.
