This series was great, a little tough to get thru sometimes. I grabbed it on Amazon when it was 37.

I am far from being a fan of war films but I do admit that Band Of Brothers is quite stunning. I bought the BD for my brother for xmas (he already had the DVD, another xmas gift from me a few years back ) He's the one who got me to watch it and it's truly a amazing series. I cannot wait to see what they will do for the next series set in the Pacific.

I remember buying the DVD version at B&N a few years back at the "sale" price of $109.99.

I bought the Blu for $37.99 at Best Buy a few weeks ago.

Yup, this is one of my favorites by far, probably the best war film ever in my opinion. The PQ and AQ are 10/10 for sure and the story can't be beat, especially when you realize that it is a TRUE story. The metal BD case is also a nice touch.

The only BD that I've seen that can approach the PQ/AQ of this series is perhaps Serenity, but that can be argued, and my library of Blu is fairly limited at this point.

I agree.

However, I don't think the execs at NBC feel the same way. I have read a few different articles stating that Life is on life support. (no pun intended)

Also, did anyone else see that the actor that played Guarnere is on 24 this season?

Default Band of Brothers-Best Blu Ray Ever

Speaking from a veterans point of view - BoB has been an yearly tradition (Memorial Day weekend) in my home with my fellow vets for the past two years running. Always misty eyes in the room after viewing.

I'm excited for Hanks/Speilberg's follow-up WWII miniseries "The Pacific" to come out, I don't know how they can top BoB but I'm sure I'll like it, we'll find out sometime soon hopefully
Worth a shot watching it with your gf, my wife loves the series, as should anyone. Arguably the best series ever created.

Man, I still need to unwrap my copy and watch this, it'll be my 4th time through Band but the first time in blu. I am very much looking forward to the next series (almost certainly mentioned in a Band thread here somewhere) on the Pacific Theater.

I watched BOB every night last week until I finally finished on Friday. It was the 5th time I watched the series but first time on blu. I'm already missing it so I'm gonna watch Saving Private Ryan tonight....Man, I wish that was on blu.

Best series ever made IMO. PQ & AQ is top notch reference quality. This is a must own blu-ray movie. This is perhaps the best World War II experience i've ever seen, it even surpasses Saving Private Ryan in many levels. Glad i bought this on sale on Amazon.
