DoctaJ: unfortunately, if you're a member of Columbia House Canada, you can't fulfill your purchase commitment at CHCanada.com ...the two are completely separate clubs. Sorry about that! Will there always be a small selection of $13.99 titles to choose from or is this a one time deal sorta thing?? And also, will you guys be raising prices in the future? Are you guys gonna expand your library? I can't find any box sets I'm looking for and your lacking a lot of titles.

Yes CHCanada.com will always offer a selection of Blu-rays for $13.99. We're all about the discounts, baby. No, we don't plan to raise prices at all for the foreseeable future. The prices you see now are pretty typical of what we'll continue to offer. And yes we expand our DVD and Blu-ray library constantly—every week, as a matter of fact. We launched the site in November with about 4,000 of our most popular titles, but that list has grown since then and will continue to grow with pretty much every day that passes. (New this week: Pineapple Express, Righteous Kill, Babylon A.D. .....to name a few!) Cheers ![]() |

How long is the usual turnaround time, and is that something you look to improving. From what i've been reading from order place to receive date is approx 2 weeks or so. Other than that everything looks good, i've already placed a couple of orders.

yeah thanks for the info lolo. i as well signed up to the site and have a few titles in mind i wanna pick up. just waiting till they become available throu you website cuz i looked but dont see them posed yet. when do you guys add new titles to the site? is it done weekly? daily? and how often do priced drop/ change for titles your selling on the site.

Any plans to show order status? That is one of the really big holes I see with CH. Also the real availability of specific titles would be nice. There is no way to know that The Incredible Hulk for example is out of stock and has been for a long time.

actyper: Our turnaround time (in our warehouse) is never more than 1 business day. Meaning: it never takes more than 1 business day from the time we receive an order to the time we package and ship it. After that, you're at the mercy of Canada Post. We say it takes two weeks cuz that's how long it might take to arrive on the east or west coasts of Canada, max. But if you live in Ontario, for example, you'll usually get it in a few days.
Jimbo976: There's really no need to check the "status" of your order because we process orders twice every day--in the morning and at night. If an order comes in overnight, it's shipped first thing in the morning. If it comes in during the day, we ship it by end of day. After that, as I said above, you're at the mercy of Canada Post. thecardman23: New titles are added when they're released by the studios (the "street" date), which is usually every week, and sometimes more often. As for drops in prices, that's a tough one....mostly because there are no hard and fast rules. It depends on the product, the market price, the studios, etc etc. Basically, any product can receive promotional (discounted) pricing at any time. My advice would be to check back often! Jimbo976: Incredible Hulk was never "out of stock", it was just on backorder. That means our warehouse ran out of copies temporarily, and we're just waiting to receive new copies to send our customers. If your order goes through, you'll receive your discs one way or the other. Anyway guys I'm on vaca starting tomorrow, but keep your questions coming and I'll be sure to respond in a week's time. ta ta! ![]() |

People would sure like to know what is going on with their orders. I honestly can't believe that it takes Canada Post 2 weeks for something to get to me if it is shipping from somewhere else in Ontario. Is there a super slow shipping method that CH uses with Canada Post? I get all other items via Canada Post (even regular old letters or parcels) from Southern Ontario in 2-3 days max to me here in Eastern Ontario.

I ordered two movies (Hancock and Journey to the Centre of the Earth) in December and still had not received them. Yesterday, I decided to use the Live Chat on the site. The person informed me that they were out of stock when I placed my order. She said my order was shipped on Jan 6. Now we wait.
Has anyone else used the Live Chat? |

i think the major point of concern all members of this forum as well as your reg customers have is simply to know their order status. it would put customers at ease simply knowing whats going on with their order, (good or bad) rather than being in the dark all the time tends to be frustrating. even if your out of stock or backordered (which means temporarily out of stock) believe me i know this term cuz i work at blockbuster and thats what we tell customers when we're getting a movie for them but it will at least be a few weeks before it arrives. some information is better than no information.
p.s - dont be offended by any comments, i am sure all the forum members here are more than grateful for the work you put in here in answering our questions and we thank you for it. enjoy your vaca. |

Yeah,
and that's the comic part of my story. Because while I was chatting on the site and the person told me that Hulk was out of stock and that I'll receive a reimbursment on my next month credit card statment, I had a letter in my bag (wich I was sure it was my Wanted from regular CH) with Hulk in it ! What a suprise when I opened it ![]() But the good point in that is I received all of what I ordered from chcanada ![]() DJ Matt |

Listen I am warning you people do not join columbia house jusrt over a month ago I joined they had the same deal buy one at regular price and all other choices 60% off great deal so I ordered about 20 blu's that was one dec 3rd it is now jan 9th and I have yet to see one come in the mail I phone to check the status and all of my selections say has not shipped
