Yet another thread like this.

Every film deserves a Blu release.

Movies that won't benefit from BD, like 28 Days Later and The Blair Witch.

But since DVD is a dying breed, they're likely to jump ship.

For every movie out there, there is at least one person that may be a big enough fan of that film to make them want to get a Blu ray player to coincide with it's release.

Since I'm all for expansion of the format by whatever means necessary, than I certainly support EVERY movie being put onto Blu. Regardless of my personal preference.

Never forget, what you may value in your collection, others would regard as junk, and vice versa.

Every film deserves blu treatment, even the ones I hate more than Duke basketball. But I just wish the more critically acclaimed films were coming out faster than the crappy "fun" ones

Last time I checked, Blu-ray was a format...and since these films do have fans believe it or not, they should be released on Blu-ray...I think this is a stupid thread because if we want Blu-ray to take over DVD, then all the titles should be released on it.

Another one of these asinine threads?
Seriously?
There is no such thing as a movie that should not end up on blu ray, anyone who thinks differently needs to leave the gene pool.
If you do not like a movie who cares, someone else will.

How about "Clerks". That's not out yet is it?
Even the DVD version looks like it was copied from an old VHS tape.
I understand how it technically should look better in Blu but is it worth it? It will sell plenty of copies though, so I guess we'll see it eventually.

I was already asked to leave the pool once, becauce I had my genes on ,but right now I believe blu-ray deserves quality non quantity. bring out all the great movies that can be made fantastic ,what happens: people start paying attention ,player sales go up ,the market for movies go up. Then more movies will come out faster" and a good time was had by all "

We've had this discussion on here many many times already......

Why would you not want every title possible to be released on Blu-Ray? Whatever your personal feelings may be towards a particular title is irrelevant. Every title released as a Blu-Ray Disc helps move the format even further above DVD to eventually be the dominate format. I personally don't think Alfred Hitchcock movies need to given the time of day, simply because of how old those movies are, but that doesn't mean there aren't people out there that would switch to Blu-Ray in a second for them. The format doesn't need this kind of negativity. Yes it's about the quality of the transfer that makes Blu-Ray superior to DVD, but at the moment, BD needs the quantity to compete with DVD still.

when I was younger, I loved the movie Space Camp. I probably watched the VHS version over 500 times and that's no joke. Then one day a couple years ago I happened to see it in a bargain bin at Walmart. Remembering how great this movie was (back in the day), I just had to buy it. And at the $5.00 or so price, how could I pass up such wonderful childhood memories. HA! I got it home, threw it in the dvd player and managed to make it no longer then 45 minutes into the movie. All I could think about was what was I thinking back then? How could this movie go from great to horrible? LOL. I guess not all movies hold up over time.

So please.....for the love of God...no Space Camp on BD.

I'm just curious. When was the last time you watched Space Camp? I was so psyched the day I found it on DVD. And then I was never so let down as I was later that day. From that point on, I decided that, unfortunatly, some movies are best left as childhood memories.

But to each his own. If they ever do release this on BD, or u happen to watch it again on DVD, I'd like to know if u still feel the same way about it today as you did all those years ago.

There are so many movies I despise that I wouldn't spend a penny on them if they were released on BD (Street Fighter , Twilight , How She Move etc).

Even though I can't stand the sight of the aformentioned movies (and there are many more than that), there are plenty out there who do like them, and maybe a few that might adopt just to have that on BD. So I say release them all.

You know, after giving this some thought, I've kinda changed my way of thinking about certain movies not being released on Blu. I'm actually leaning more towards every title that was ever released on DVD should get the chance to be released on Blu-ray. If they put the title on DVD and not BD, then once Dvds are a thing of the past, that movie would become obsolete, and that just isn't right. Every movie that can be transferred to BD should be. Just because I may not like a certain movie doesn't mean it doesn't have it's fans, and they should have the opportunity to continue to own each and every title they want. I started thinking of some titles that if they don't get a BD release, I'll probably never get the chance to watch them again. Just off the top of my head, Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me is one that if it doesn't get a BD release, it will probably be gone forever.

So, as Blu-rays begin to over take dvd sales, over time I think everything should get a BD release. There's no reason a directors movie should disappear forever.

Napoleon Dynamite, I don't give up on movies usually luckily I only wasted about ten minutes of my life watching it. Apparently Paramount had no bussiness releasing the Love Guru on Blu Ray, and I never want to see Repo the Genetic Opera.
