In the order I think is best

1) Resident Evil 4
2) Resident Evil 2
3) Resident Evil Code Veronica X
4) Resident Evil 3
5) Resident Evil

Let's see how Resident Evil 5 turns out.

actaully, i own both playsation and gc versions, and having both hooked up to the same display, the gc looked better. both systems hooked up via component connections running in progresive scan. and the gc version was letterboxed, so in a sense, it was widescreen

So, is this the correct order?

Resident Evil 1 (1996 PS)
Resident Evil 2 (1997 PS)
Resident Evil: Nemesis (1999 PS)
Resident Evil: Survivor (2000 PS) (Sucky attempt at a first person shooter)
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X (2001 PS2) (Finished it, amazing 9/10)
Resident Evil: Dead Aim (2003 PS2)
Resident Evil: Outbreak (2004 PS2)
Resident Evil: Outbreak 2 (2005 PS2)
Resident Evil 4 (2005 PS2) (Finished it, amazing 9.5/10)
Resident Evil 5 (2009 PS3) (Buying it first day it's out)

I left out Res Evil: Director's Cut because it's a toned down version of the first with a low rating. What exactly is Resident Evil 2: Dual shock edition, ha, I guess it's playable with the rotatin thingy instead of the d-pad, I should look for that one I guess.

I guess Ill start with 2 and move upwards?

Director's Cut isn't toned down; it's actually harder than the first. More importantly, it has the regular version of the first one on it too.

Res Evil 2 dual shock edition can be played with the d-pad or the left stick. And it has shock feedback too.

Finally, I'd throw in Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0 should a GameCube ever become accessible.

Hands down for me, Resident Evil 2 was the best in the series.

Resident Evil 2 as well....

with the 1st one being a close second.....(the only game to actually scare me while playing...I rented it, turned off all the lights, cranked the sound up...awesome experience)
