I've heard of taco places in LA that are starting to serve Korean BBQ tacos.

I know the Numero Uno on Highland and Wilshire serves Korean BBQ Pizza.

Yes I like BCD, however my Korean friends tell me its the Denny's of Tofu Soup places.

Not that there's anything wrong with Denny's if you like it...

LOL......I went with a buddy of mine at that same Numero Uno and saw that Pizza, but we weren't adventurous enough to try it.

Bibimap is good, especially the rice at the bottom of the pot.

I make Kimchee fried rice at home! I learned to make it after seeing it made in a Korean Drama show my wife and I were watching. I also love the korean black bean paste noodles but there's only one place enar me that I've found to have it. Those are bomb.

My favorite place in Korea town closed down a few years ago. Woo Lae Oak. They have a branch on La Cienega on restaurant row but it's not the same.

For korean bbq we goto Cho Sun Galbi but that place is expensive.

The situation, though, more often calls for:

Coffee-rubbed Ribeye
Homemade pizza (the dough my wife makes is RIDICULOUS! She puts oregano, garlic, chili flakes, parmesan cheese.... all in the crust)

The hotter you can get your grill, the better. Mine gets to about 700 degrees. INSANE!!! We try to have this every other week.

Here's the recipe for the rub:

Coffee Rub
. 3 teaspoons of coffee grounds (grind it to powder)
. 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
. 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
. 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne
. 1 teaspoon of salt
. 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
. 1/2 teaspoon of parsley flakes

Well, I like my coffee flavoring a little more on the super-strong side, so I generally use espresso beans. I've also used "French Roast" as well. It's better if you grind them fresh (either at home, or from the supermarket grinder).

As for "flavored" coffee, that's up to you. I've never used a flavored coffee before.

The coffee "flavor" will be VERY mild, but if you leave it out, the flavor of the rub changes so much.

You can also use this rub for ribs.

I hope you like it. I've got TONS of recipes for steak, ribs and chicken on the grill.
