I imported the first one but will probably wait for the US releases on the others.

why do you need a guide to import them? go to www.amazon.co.uk and search batman and then buy (same as amazon.com)

Batman (1989) $12.98 equals $18.08 US
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Batman-Blu-r...3019988&sr=8-2

Batman Returns $12.98 equals $18.08 US
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Batman-Retur...xgy_d_h__img_b

Or it says get both for
Price For Both: £25.96 equals $36.16 US

also this thread http://forums.highdefdigest.com/blu-...ist-wants.html
over at hidefdigest.com from seller "saqibhasan101" is selling each batman movie for $20 US including shipping from from UK

This is indeed a great deal, but can we play blus in PAL format here in North America? All those I see on amazon/uk seem to be in the PAL broadcast standard. Thanks for your feedback.

Many thanks perfectdark! So I can also import the POTC trilogy even though it is using the PAL broadcast standard as shown below from the uk site?

If so this is wonderful news, given the price translates to about $56 CDN which is $20 below best price available from amazon.ca.

I always thought PAL based broadcast material could not be played in NA?

Product details
Actors: Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom
Directors: Gore Verbinski
Format: Box set, PAL
Number of discs: 6
Price: £34.97

there is not ntsc or pal on blu ray discs (altho sometimes extras can be encoded in pal rendering them useless), with blu ray its about region codes, and all the batmans are region free and as a plus the extras r encoded in ntsc so there playable in the us, disregard what amazon uk says as there information is never right or accurate

Thank you metsfan....this adds much clarity! Do you know of a site where I can locate the region codes for blu rays? Amazon.com/uk does not provide this detail for the POTC trilogy and a few others that I am interested in purchasing. Thanks again for your help!

blurayregioncodes.com is very good although there are some titles missing

also some key tips are almost all warner titles are region free except a select few

titles are distributed by different companies sometimes in different parts of the world (for example warner dsitrbutes rambo in germany whereas lionsgate distributes it in the us)

DJ, the only problem you could encounter with a Blu-ray originating from a PAL country would be the introduction screen being encoded in PAL, making it undecipherable for your HDTV.

Good news is that Warner makes the movies begin directly with no menu or presentation screen so you're safe to get the Batman BDs.

I would just wait for the US release.

And,.. that's what I'm going to do.

I don't mind having all the Batman movies. Even the worst ones can be fun to watch.

I sometimes pick up a Blu Ray when I'm in Europe just for the fun of it (reminds me of home gives me something to look forward to when I get back) but I don't bother importing them.

I got the first one yesterday. I will be getting the 2nd and 3rd. If you have an amazon account you can order from amazon.uk. I paid $23.16 for the first one. PQ and AQ are awesome.

You can pre-order Batman Legacy box set at amazon.co.uk right for for £33.50 shipped to the U.S.
This price is after they remove the VAT. At the current currency conversion it converts to $45.71

and also quality> Will it be better quality for the U.S. release or will it be the same thing

Please let me know what i should do. I dont completely hate Batman Forever but I dont know how much more it will cost me to get the anthology set opposed to importing them.

Please let me know

thanks,
jim
If importing saves you from the misery and dread of being forced to buy Batman & Robin as part of the boxed set, I say go for it. I'll do anything to avoid spending one cent on Batman & Robin. Ever.

You don't need a new Amazon account (except with Amazon.jp).

The same Amazon account will work at every Amazon except Amazon.jp, which does require a new account.
