Anyway, my answer is Bill the Butcher (Gangs of New York), definitely my favorite A-holio.

Bill the Butcher was awesome, how can anyone hate him? I would have to say Brian Cox Agamemnon in troy

Yeah he sure was, I may have misinterpreted the thread (as more of a "bad guys you love to hate" kind of thing). The hate part was due to his cruelty & bigotry. But certainly one of my favorite bad guys ever...

Quite possibly the worst movie writing ever for movies that are supposed "blockbusters".

End rant.
I agree. I think the reason these movies are held in such esteem is because when the first movie was released it was sort of the first of it's kind with all the special effects. I think most people were able to look past the bad dialogue just for that reason. They were just cool, fun movies to watch. The new Star Wars movies, Eps 1-3 on the other hand, ugh. I'd rather watch Indy 4.

Alan Rickman is probably the best actor for this, he as 3 iconic roles where he is so bad you just got to love him.

Hans Gruber in Die Hard
Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Severus Snape in Harry Potter

It's quite a collection.
