Chasing Amy is a good movie, but I wouldnt buy it.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (another Kevin Smith) is out on barebone BD from Alliance but Clerks got the normal treatment (next Tuesday, anyways) with all the features.

So for Chasing Amy it depends on if you want the features or not, they should sell more movies without features for cheaper.

Probably best to wait for Smith stuff until the US release comes out. Smith movies are known for having tons of extras that are worth buying on their own especially the commentarys. I have Amy on SD so it will do for now, I got Sin City from Alliance and although its a great transfer I will be double dipping for the US version so I dont want to get caught out again.

If you order multiple titles, the shipping cost is more reasonable.

I ordered Good Will Hunting from Amazon Canada, it was $23 USD after shipping. I threw in Ronin, the total cost per disc was reduced to $19 shipped.

Got a glimpse of the back covers for some of these upcoming discs, here's what is stated on 'em:

Boiler Room - 1.85:1, 1080p, 120 mins
Chasing Amy - 1.78:1, 1080p, 113 mins
Knockaround Guys - 2.35:1, 1080p, 92 mins
Man Apart, A - 1.78:1(incorrect ratio, was 2.35:1 in theatres & on DVD), 1080p, 105 mins
Reindeer Games - 1.78:1(incorrect ratio, was 2.35:1 in theatres & on DVD), 1080p, 104 minute theatrical cut... sorry guys.
Running Scared - 1.78:1 (incorrect ratio, was 2.35:1 in theatres & on DVD), 1080i (!!), 122 mins
Trainspotting - 1.78:1, 1080p, 94 mins

No extras, and all Region A locked. Some of the above info will need to be confirmed later, & I'm hoping all the incorrect ratios aren't true! But it does look like they're just packaging the HD broadcast versions. They all still state Region 1...

The only one I want is Boiler Room and it says 1080p and 1.85:1 which should be the correct ratio so I'll be happy to pick this up.

These are Canadian releases, but you can still order them from amazon.ca, axelmusic & various other sites. The exchange rate may get you the disc for about $14-16 US, but may get dinged on ship costs depending on where you order from.
