guess I'll be double dipping. The version I have now seems to be sufficient. Only paid $10 for it anyways. Oh well.

I seriously doubt it's price is $122.99, it's probably just a placeholder until an official MSRP comes out that Amazon can base it's real price on.

Still, 122.99 for one bluray movie looks insane!

I'm really curious to see how this one will turn out considering the film was shot in Super 35.

An extra 100 bucks for a big head seems a lot. But might consider it yet i learned from DVD that buying loads of limited editions is not advisable in the long run.

Oh man! Now I'm really curious to see what exactly comes with the Endo-Skull edition. I hope it's a high quality chrome colored T-800 Head. If it is, then I'm sold!

Unless I'm missing something I see no prices listed on the links posted just areas where they will contact you when the pre order info is available.

I hate double dips as I feel studios should be working at getting new content to the format but this is one DD I can't wait for! Terminator 2 is one of my all-time favorite movies! The US version is horrible. Here's to hoping Lionsgate does T2 justice this time! 50GB/7.1

I got T2 for Xmas 2 years ago . Its not terrible but it could be so much more. As long as its the entended version will double dip on this. Its one of those movies that can be enjoyed over and over and...

being that these are being released by three different studios, I cant imagine all 3 studios would agree to redo their versions

From what I understand, the T2 sources need proper remastering to look any better in HD; that would explain why there is little noticeable difference in the US/Japan discs and only minor improvements in the UK/France discs. Now if they remastered them, and that Endo-Skull is pretty enough, I might indulge. Otherwise I'm (un)happy with my Lionsgate crapfest disc. I will not be triple or quadruple-dipping in BD, however, so they better get the damn thing right this time.

The Japanese disc uses the same master as the future Lionsgate disc

Restoration will not help much, the problems lie in the movie itself. Early 90s, Super35, low resolution to begin with.

The same thing goes for the first one. You can restore till the cows come home, it's still not going to do much for it

good to know, thanks jeff. i'm not sure if this has already been discussed in the insider forum, but is the double dip likely to include the various other T2 cuts in addition to special features from both the ultimate and extreme editions?

I know
It's a talking Terminator skull that says "I'll be back" when you have to remove the skull cap to get the Blu-ray's out

Not too worried about the Mono Track. But they need to port all the extras.

According to Van Ling, T1 is likely to be a restoration.
