Do you have speaker stands or a way to mount bookshelf speakers?

The 390 is a huge speaker and has some sound problems, mainly because of it's size you can have issues with sound field it projects, unless you have a very large room and sit back from your TV 12-15' or more the speaker will overpower your L-R and and it becomes hard to hear sound move from speaker to speaker. The 290 is more than enough speaker for most home theaters. Don't get me wrong if you have your heart set on it get one i have used this speaker and loved it but it was just to big for my room.

hmmm well thats quite a steal knowing that their msrp is $1500. The Paradigm rep said the Monitor 7's and 9's are a very skimmed down version of the flagship 11's and the sound difference is huge. The Titans however are the flagship bookshelfs in that series and he recommended to me that you either go with the Titans or the 11's. Once you start going for the modes under them you lose sound quality. So what i'm trying to say is if you can get yours hands on the 11's for that price I would say jump on it!! otherwise go for the still stunning Titans.

I know in Canada there is alot of room to negotiate on Paradigm speakers, i have been quoted around 1200 for the 11's but that was when i was picking up a full 5.1 system with amp from my dealer for a client.

Best advice is to steer clear of Gibby's.
They do not offer good deals on Paradigm speakers.
I got a pair of 11's (v4) from them for $1225 and a year later I thought about getting a pair of 7's for the rears. There was one pair of black 7v4's left at the factory and they said they'd get them for me for $999 - I wanted to pay $899 at the max as the new line were already out (v5's).
So I called Robert at TruTone Electronics in Mississauga and he made me a deal on a new pair of 11v5's for CDN$835. They guy at the store wouldn't give me them until he got Robert on the phone because he said it was too good of a deal, haha. I also picked up a Servo15v2 for $1750.

You should be able to snag a pair of 11's for around $1,100 at the most from the right dealer.
