I haven't seen the live version but I didn't hear good things about it. Is it the actual stage version or just a reproduction of the film version?

After waiting an age for a UK steelbook to appear I've decided to just buy the 4K release as I don't think I would get much out of Grease 2 & Grease Live.

That’s due to both being shit. This should be a standalone 4K steelbook of the original Grease.

This what I'm hoping for, it's the same-ish design that Amazon.it has as well, I wish they'd put the pre-order up so I can cancel my order on amazon.com before they charge my card lol

There should be two editions too, a pink ladies one and a t birds one.

I think it’s a big fail here, it’s only the 40th anniversary of the massively successful original movie, inclusion of the sequel and live show has cheapened the entire release IMO

Only if you don't like them, some have waited years for at least Grease 2 to be released. Some would argue it makes for a more complete release for its 40th anniversary.

I’m on this side of the argument. Grease is one of my favourite movies and always puts me in a good mood but the addition on Grease 2 finally in HD is a massive selling point for me. It might not be as good but it still has some great songs and set pieces. I’m curious about the Live film but it’s just a bonus addition in my opinion.

Saw on the Zavvi Twitter feed, there are 2 Steelbooks, standard BD featuring Grease and Grease 2 (no Grease Live!) and a 4K Steelbook, orders open Thursday, no time is given.

The artwork is the similar as above on both versions, includes magnets.
