I wonder if they'll be able to get the rights to "Stairway To Heaven" for this release.

What do you guys mean? Are you saying they'll cut out the part when Wayne is in the guitar shop testing out the Stratocaster and plays the opening riff to Stairway?

Preposterous!!!! That better be in the Blu edition. LZ is my all-time favorite band, and Wayne's World is one of my all-time favorite movies. I really hope they can harmonize this situation... or else it'll be "Wayne's World Blu-ray...DENIED!"

Wow.. had no idea that scene was cut from the DVD. These both will be first day purchases for me.

They didn't cut the whole part out, just the notes that Wayne played from Stairway.

Wait, so the employee keeping Wayne from playing the song was part of them not being able to secure the rights to the song? If so, then that's the version I'm used to.

I didn't think he ever actually played Stairway. I mean, I owned it on VHS and I've watched the movie 1000 times (not literally) and I never remember it actually being the song.

The "Stairway to Heaven" guitar riff was changed for the international, cable, and videotape releases to a generic riff because of disputes in obtaining rights to the first five notes of the song, which appear only in the US theatrical release.

In the early '70s, some British music shops banned or fined patrons for playing "Stairway to Heaven" because it was played so often. Hence the sign: "No 'Stairway to Heaven'" when Wayne plays the guitar in the store.

The guys reunited at the MTV awards last year and in costume they looked EXACTLY the same, they could still do a 3rd movie.

I'm getting both of these for sure, big fan of the movies.

it would be great if they did with waynes world what they did with the brady bunch movie and have wayne and garth in 2009 asthough it was still the early 90's. I thought that concept was hillarious

i picked up the first one on dvd like 6 month ago for $7... i dont know if i'll pick these up or not.. i havent really gotten into buying too many things i already have on dvd...

at any rate my favorite part...

wayne: what is it?
psycho hose beast: a gun rack.
wayne: i dont own A gun, let alone many guns which would necessitate an entire rack. what am i going to do with a gun rack?...

Glad to see some great catalog BD releases in the pike.

I am looking forward to Wayne's World 1 and 2 on May 12th. Chris Farley and David Spade's Black Sheep is slated for May 12 as well!

It is also time to dust off my Donna Summer records! Saturday Night Fever is coming on May 5th (same release date as Grease and Ferris Bueller's Day Off!)

Let's hope prices are reasonable for these catalog titles. We want them to look great too.

I plan to get all of the above. I wonder if any will come with $10 upgrade rebates????

Anyone else picking these up?

I watched the first one tonight.

Two things I had never noticed before:

- Stacy has a necklace with WAYNE written in golden letters
- Garth and Wayne actually live across the street from each other
