I really hope this isn't another one of Warners..... Cut and paste from the DVD transfers.

Someone said they hope for the directors cut? This is one of those movies I enjoyed the theatrical a whole lot more if I remember.

Are you refering to the first non anamorphic DVD or the 2 disc special edition?

I thought the True Romance 2 disc set looked great. Maybe Rusty was referring to Last Boy Scout?

And just about every reviewer on every DVD website seems to agree with you. He had to have been refering to the first DVD release, because I'll admit that transfer did look pretty crappy, and not just because it was non-anamorphic.

The 2 Disc SE that was released in '02 had a pristine transfer, one of the best looking DVDs for its age IMO.

Isn't there only a 1 minute difference between the 2 versions?

Who could forget the "egg plant" scene with Dennis Hopper. it's one of Quentin's best written scenes ever imo

I also remeber during the shoot out in the hotel room at the end the late Chris Penn says:

"I said a come out from a behind da couch"

yeah, the biggest differences take place during thd scene with patricia arqette and james gandolfini in the hotel room and the end shoot-out with tom sizemores death and chris penn is killed by a different person than in the theatrical version. its basically is just a tiny bit more graphic deaths with extra shots of bullet hits

what about the extended scene at the start with Gary Oldman and Sam Jackson? "I eat the *****, the butt - every damn thing"

Gary Oldman rules in this movie, "must of thought it was white boy day"

Another must buy.
