Default Sleeping Beauty pq question

Hey guys, I just got done watching Sleeping Beauty and just like everyone else was astounded by the pq and the aq was great as well. The colors and animation are unreal!! . I do have a question though, I was wondering why there were some scenes/moments that appeared outta focus/blurry on certain parts of the pic or character. To clarify, the whole pic is not like that but just certain parts like an animal or its face. For example, at timestamp 28 min. when she is sitting with animals in forest if you watch scene the animals in middle of screen are blurry/outta focus looking especially their faces. This occurs in other scenes as well but in alot of scenes everything looks crystal clear. I was just wondering why this is since it is animation I wondered why some of it looked outta focus.?

Thanks for checking it out. At first I thought I was going crazy, then I threw in some other Blu's just to reassure myself it wasn't my equipment jacking up and they all looked fine, and then I came on here to look for any info on it but didn't see anybody saying anything about it. I just found it ackward since its animation and it threw me off. Plus, everyone raves about its pq (and deservedly so) but nobody mentions this. Oh, I might have put the wrong timestamp. Can't remember now but it's somewhere in there around 25-29 min. There is plenty of other instances were I noticed this as well though. Sometimes it was like only one animal or something on the whole screen that was like that.

Was it during a multi-plane camera sequence? That could be your answer right there.

This movie is from the 50's I believe, restoration can only do so many things, there may be small things like that, hell even in the Godfather there are small artifacts here and there, so minor but noticable at times. The overall PQ is great, I wouldn't be too worried. =]

Restoration has nothing to do with "focus." Sleeping Beauty was scanned from the original negative, which was fully intact.
