I've seen Bose 321 systems go for $300 on eBay still in their boxes. You can get a deal on Bose from time to time on eBay.

They were the original models. This was a few months ago though. I haven't checked recently...

You could also buy everything you need off eBay separately and save a lot of money. People are selling the Acoustimass modules for less than $100, speakers for around $100, and receiver plus wires for ~$100. The cheapest package deal I saw was around $400.
