onkyo 606, 706, or 806?

I finnally pulled the trigger. Circuit City has the ONKYO TX-SR606 for $299 plus tax. I hate paying the tax, but with 40% off I picked one up.

What city are you in? I need some 606's & for $300 each I'll head that way right now! When I went the other day they were still way to much, $50-100 over amazon... There were 5 or 6 of the 606's & 25-30m 806's ( they prolly need the blue dot issue fixed...sucks).

Mine had about 5 left of the 606 at the $299 price today after work. If I didnt have the 705 I would have snagged one up.

My Circuit City has a bunch of receivers left, mostly Onkyo's and some Denon's & Sony's. And a ton of TVs, and Blu-rays. I might go back tomorrow try and find a decent deal in that dept for some catalog titles

Man this is frustating...even drove to another CC out of town and still no
606s.....

I'd be all over one for $299

Did these have remotes and in box?

The only ones at my CC were the bigger ones and they didn't have
manuals, boxes, or remotes.

In NY, Long Island area. Circuit City had about 3 remaining at about 3pm

almost every receiver I saw had at least 3+ sealed units, CC has alot of stuff that is still brand new, by me anyway

Yep had everything, in a sealed box. I even checked box before I left store , to make sure everything was in there

I picked up the 806 tonight.I held the box because there was only 2 left(1 in my hands).The funny thing is my wife talked me into getting it.I guess she figured it`s less money than the pioneer sc-09 I was thinking about getting.

yup i just nabbed a 806 for $599, no tax here, for that price i couldnt resist it lol
