I am wondering it it is loading a lot of stuff or what?
Thanks everyone for your help and information.
I have the sony BDP-S500,and I timed it:For it to eject tray when turned off,it takes 54 seconds!54!To load up Fight club takes 5 minutes!Granted it is an old BD player, but think sony is some of the worst in that respect.

My new oppo takes under 5 secs to open tray, and discs load 4 times faster. But again there's a downside:won't play AVC encoded FOX releases But use my sony for them.

The "long loading" times or the "no disk" error times are when I remind myself "why did I leave dvd for this?"

But still, i prefer a long-loading Bluray disc rather than get a dvd that worked perfectly in the past but now out-of-the-blue starts skipping.
