My other half threw half a pint of water over me the other day, not realising I had a controller in my hand. Put it on the radiator straight away and it has been fine.

I wash my PS3 controller all of the time in the sink to get rid of sweat on the controller from when I play to many hours of gaming

you're crazy...just get some of these Lysol wipes....they work great and are good if your sick buddies come over and you would rather stay in good health.

Well, the FIRST thing you need to do is beat the crap out of your kid so he doesn't do something like this again.

Then you can go on and try these other suggestions that people have mentioned.

I once had to wash my PS2 controller in the sink because I dripped some Jelly on it and it seized up the square button. After rinsing it for a couple of minutes under hot water, I let it dry over a forced air heater for 3 days. It still worked after that

Unless you live in a really dry place, I'd let it sit longer than just overnight. Most places, overnight is hardly long enough to air dry some clothes. A semi-sealed controller probably needs a bit longer I'd say.
