Default Limited Edition Boxset Revealed

clicky

Quote:
Behold the ultimate blueness of Aksys Games' newly revealed limited collector's edition of BlazBlue.

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Arc System Works' latest 2D fighter are getting the big box treatment by Aksys. The set not only contains a very pretty box and the game itself, but a 2-disc, 42-song soundtrack set and a bonus disc containing tutorials from the experts at Dustloop.com and Shoryuken.com. The video walks you through each character, showing you the ins and outs and delivering special tips for getting the most out of your favorite fighters.

How much would you pay for this much BlazBlue? That's the best part. The limited edition set is $59.99, the same price as the game alone. In fact, players who've already pre-ordered the game are getting a free upgrade to the limited version. If you've not pre-ordered yet though, you might want to get that done now, as the limited edition set is first-run only, with the second run consisting of the game all by itself, looking sad and lonely.

All the extras would probably fit on the game BD but never mind.

I have been watching a lot of BlazBlue videos and wondered if some one who has played the game answer a question for me. In videos of people using Rachel Aulcard she throws this thing that looks like a bat on a pole in the ground but from what I see in the video it does nothing was wondering if any one knew what the heck it did. Also Bang Shishigami Leaves these symbols in the air there kind of a yellow green and glow have a scarf off of them and I have no idea what they do just curious.

I don't know why people are hyping this up:/

2D are never known too well around hardcore fighting fans.

Only Guilty Gear fans and 2d fans of Street Fighter, MK, KoF, MvC etc will pick this up.

Unless I find some good stuff in this game, then I'll pick it up.
The Campaign mode shows Character Progression.

If a campaign will have a decent story for a character, then I might consider picking this up. Rather than other fighting games with no story:/

I like the sprite design though, but could it be better than Street Fighter 3 Fight for the Future sprite? SF3 has the best sprite animtation, they move so soft, smooth and fluidy.

Well, I'm pretty excited about this. I love the Guilty Gear series, which is probably the main reason why. No specific character has really caught my eye yet with BlazBlue, so not sure who I'll even start with. My fave characters in Guilty Gear were May and Jam - got any recommendations on similar BlazBlue characters?

This is some pretty cool info. I wish more PS3 games had remote play functionality

http://kotaku.com/5302628/blazblue-g...ia-remote-play

Thanks to Sony's Remote Play technology, PlayStation 3 owners will be able to play Arc System Works and Aksys Games' BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger on their PSPs. Which is awesome.

The high-res 2D fighter joins a short list of PS3 titles that support Remote Play, allowing PSP owners a chance to play the game almost anywhere, even if they're away from their home consoles. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger was just released in Japan—and you can see footage of the game's Remote Play function in action at Gamersyde—with the North American version due to ship next week.

We quickly double checked with publisher Aksys Games who confirmed that the domestic version of the game will also support PSP Remote Play.

Is it true all versions released tomorrow are only the Limited Editions? Is it the same price as regular PS3 games?

Ummm I dont want to sound rude, but who the "hardcore" fighting fans you hang out with? SF, KoF, MvC, GG, etc are staples of hardcore fighting gamers. Take a look at the EVO tournament lineup of games and look at all the 2D games being played. Those are the true hardcore fighting game fans

There's a trailer video on the HK PSN store. Didn't see it on the US store. Should have this by the end of the week.
