He got older and fatter...

I prefere "Ride Like The Wind" myself, or to quote from wikipedia:
Christopher has just finished recording a new acoustic album of his hits titled "The Cafe Carlyle Sessions". He is also working on a new studio album that is expected to be released in the spring of 2009. Today, he does about 100 live performances a year.

Yes, but im talking about movie theme songs that go on the radio and on to charts..like with celine dions "my heart will go on" etc....u dont see that nowadays. ROAR! from cloverfield, or Phantom Menace, do not make it on to charts...im talking proper movie - music charts "movie theme songs" not just a MAIN track from a score

Back to the Future - "the Power of Love" by Huey Lewis.

Batman Returns - "Face to Face" by Siouxsie and the Banshees. This song was played during the ballroom scene and at the end credits of the movie.

Saturday Night Fever have good music throughout.

Top Gun also have a good soundtrack throughout and I think it ends with "Danger Zone". It's main love theme was Berlin's "Take My Breath Away".

In fact, most of the mainstream movies during the 80s had pop/contemporary soundtrack with many songs that are on radio charts (Rocky movies, Beverly Hills Cop, Purple Rain).

I am particularly partial to Loved by the Sun sung by Jon Anderson (of Yes) with Tangerine Dream in the US release of Ridley Scott's Legend. Of course the credits music is Is Your Love Strong Enough by Bryan Ferry.

Here is one of the many videos put together by people on the net:

The whole point of this thread is theme songs SINCE 1997. ...

Actually, "Duel of the Fates" did chart. Hell, it was even on MTV's "Total Request Live" for 11 days.

Well after never-ending-play-all-day-all-night-every-channel-and-radio-station-overkill fiasco phenomenon that was "My Heart Will Go On", can you blame anybody?

I think the OP is referring to the former.

I didn't interpret the original post as having a time limit and I did like "Duel of the Fates" (still one of my favorite SW themes).
