Anyways, do you not have a light on the bottom because the speaker is in the way?
I really never thought of putting them on the bottom before ! Now that below the display is more open I might just do that . I can still add 2 more bars on the system I have . I like that idea , thanks timaclennan !

I love em. Gives off a very nice look while watching TV and of course helps with eye strain during those times when I watch a lot of movies consecutively. They change up to 8 colors. The only thing that stinks is there is no remote control for it to control the lighting. You could get an RF extender to just turn them on or off, or you could plug it into the back of your receiver I guess to turn them on. This is the only thing I wish they would have available.

I'm confused, what's the difference with the HT1502 and the HTP1502? It just looks like the Pro version can handle the longer 24" bars and has better light and color output. To me the standard HT1502 seems good enough. How many total light bars can you connect? I was looking at getting the HT1502 and the 15" expansion pack.

I believe the HTP1502 is for the larger lightbars. I have what you mentioned, both the HT1502 and the 15" expansion pack. It can handle up to 6 lightbars at once and the extension lines that are attached to each lightbar are quite long, so it gives you plenty of options if you can hide those darn lines from view.

I biught my Cyron set at Amazon for like 60 something dollars. 6 light bars and multiple colors. Also can set it to change with music. I put 3 bars on top, 1 on each side and 1 on the bottom. I have mine set on red-green-blue so it throws white back light. I love em.

Thanks to this thread, I just put two more IKEA bar lights behind my Kuro and rope lights under my couches. Jeez. Not for movie watching though! For pre-movie watching and music-enjoying. Just erased all my HT pics for the new ones I'm taking soon.

Cleaned up my wires, too, FINALLY.

Here are the Ikea ones. I personally like the Cyron ones better. Well, I don't have them but I tried the Ikea ones and felt they were cheap. It did not give me the same wow factor I was expecting.

I felt that they were not long enough. I'm sure that if I had two of these sets so that there are two bars on the top, bottom, left, and right of the TV then it may have been better. But then I would need two outlets just for my TV lighting. I would rather have the Cyron set and add two more light bars. I know that it can handle 6 bars per power supply so if I ever want to add bars for my front speakers I can. The Cyron kits just seems more professional.

No wow effect? You must be doing it wrong!

I've never tried the Cyron ones, but as you can see, there's clearly plenty of wow factor in the IKEA ones.

Very nice.....it will take a little re-working for me to do this as all my wires in the main room and bedroom are now all in the wall. Will have to do that when i have some time in the summer to accomplish that. Thanks for pics and links will put on the To-Do list......
