The Terminator was classic but T2 (IMO) is the ultimate action flick. The whole movie is entertaining, has a easy to follow plot, outstanding special effects (not just for 1991, some were better than today's effects), bits of humor throughout to cut the action tension (teaching the Terminator to smile!). T3, not quite the best and could easily be forgettable but, unfortunately, it is a must see before seeing the new one as things in Salvation reference T3.
Overall, James Cameron should have done all 4 movies. Look at the other movies he's made: Aliens - Classic, great action flick Titanic - Besides highest grossing movie ever, is a solid movie with a good story. The Abyss - Classic, easily recognizable True Lies - Great Arnie spy action, hilarious storyline. |

T2 is the greatest action movie ever made imo, and the other two are really great as well. Unlike most people, I absolutely loved T3 and I view the first one as the weakest in the series, but it still beats the crap out of most other action movies.
I own T3, have preordered T2 Skynet Edition, and I'm currently waiting for a better edition of the first one. Oh, and Salvation looks kick ass! |

Fortunately, the T-1000 did off a few people so it wasn't a total loss. If they both were killing people then who is the good guy? Even with that PC crap it played out brilliantly. This is why I loved Iron Man so much. The terrorists got what they had coming. None of that Saturday morning G.I. Joe crap where everyone bails out of exploding planes and tanks while no one really gets hurt. Last edited by tron3; 03-07-2009 at 01:56 PM. |

T1: the special effects are a bit dated but great story and acting all round. A must-see if you want to enjoy the terminator saga. 9/10
T2: Amazing special effects and stunts, the only thing thats a little dated is the lingo and style around John Connor and his mate. 9/10 T3: Some great sequences but somehow doesn't live up to the first two. But worth seeing for the foxy teminator and for the amazing ending, which sets up the fourth installment nicely. 7/10 Summary T4 is the story I have been waiting for since the credits rolled on T1 back in 1984. We saw glimpses of the future war in the first movie, and I assumed the sequel would tell this story. Parts 2 and 3 are kinda unnecessary remakes of the original, but worth seeing especially T2 which is still an amazing movie experience. I've got huge hopes for T4, Bale did an amazing job in Batman Begins and Dark Knight and some of his earlier movies so I'm hoping for a great portrayal of John Connor. Also can't wait to see where the story goes, as after 25 years we are finally "driving into an unknown future" Welcome to Terminator! PS My first post here, hello fellow blu-rayers! |

Spoiler alert.
I like them all, but I don't like that they re-wrote the script of the first one two more times and just put more powerful terminators in there instead. The going back in time thing got old for me. I watched one and thought, wow what a fantastic movie that was. 2nd movie was great at the time, thinking Hollywood goes to crazy with its budgets, but years later I just thought the T1000 was a bit OTT and unrealistic. Then they went bananas on the 3rd and killed off Sarah for no good reason. All the time I was gagging for the war, no more of this 1-1 BS. |

I loved all 3 but for those that didn't like the 3rd, not to worry, T4 actually takes place after the events of T2 - as if T3 didn't really happen, but does have some characters and elements from T3 - (i.e. Claire Dane's character and Judgement day) - this is according to McG. Its a sequal to T2 and the first of 3 to a prequal to T1. 27 years after T2 and 11 years before John Connor sends Kyle Reese to 1984.
Linda Hamilton wasn't in the 3rd because (her husband at the time ) James Cameron wasn't involved and she hated the script for Sarah, so she said no thanks, BUT she does have a "role" in T4, and will in T5 & T6 if T4 does well at the box office. And.... Arnold... "I'll be back!" - They say its true! kinda... dont want to say anything cause its a possible spoiler. So... if you haven't seen any of them, see them all or at least T1 & T2 - Terminator Salvation is going to be huge, and awesome. See the first 3 first so you know what they are talking about, or see T4 first then you'll understand what it all means in the first 3... Man don't you love a good causality loop!!!! Its all because what Sarah did in the past!! NO! Its because of what John did in the future! oh my head is spinning!! |

Whoever said Eddy Furlong was bad as John Connor, that kinda bullsnap, like he was only a kid, and that was like the first movie he did, and he did really well. All of them worth seeing for the plot, First not so good, I mean its alright, acting kind "80's" But second one was definetly wayyyy, wayyyyy better. Edward Furlong did great, but that really wasn't the main focus, it was Arnold ofcourse, and the T-1000. So ya, whatever, have your opinion and not like him as John Connor, but he was way better than the dude in the third one, and Im sure Christian Bale will by far be the best John Connor EVER, ofcourse haha.
P.S. Watchmen= Best Movie I've seen in a long time, and whatever anyone says, its brutal, and brutally wonderful, and beautiful, EPIC. |

You're making excuses for him being an annoying little git...yes he was young and inexperienced - but that doesn't change the fact he was rather annoying, it just explains it. His dated "Waynes World / TMNT" dialogue doesn't do him any favours tho. Has he made a movie since??
