That one was rough. When I saw the
[Show spoiler] "amputation", I was fully expecting them to cut away or cut to another angle. But showing it in one complete shot like they did freaks out quite a few people when I show it at home.
Wish I could have been in a crowded theater and seen the reactions.

I was watching Saving Private Ryan a few times on TNT-HD this weekend (looks great).

Without a doubt, the hardest scene for me to watch is the scene in which Mellish has a hand-to-hand fight with the German soldier, and ultimately gets stabbed through the heart.

I change the channel (or fast forward) every time. It's so horrific.
Even harder for me, was watching Hupom (not sure on spelling) sit on the stairs crying the whole time it was happening.

the absolute hardest scene for me was in Blackhawk Down when Shugard and Gordon volunteered to set up a perimeter around the second crash site. And most everyone knows what happens next. The fact that all that really happened makes it 10X harder to watch

I never really have or had trouble with any scenes in movies. They're just movies. I watched Saving Private Ryan yesterday on DVD and there are some graphic scenes but nothing that makes me squirm or look away. I saw it was on TNT tonight also but didn't bother to watch anything, they probably cut all of the good stuff out anyways, or maybe its cut for time. I just don't like watching movies on TV.

It's not gore that makes me look away. it's more of why is something this bad happening to this poor person type of thing

I would have to agree that the I am Legend scene is pretty hard to watch especially when I know its coming I just look away for those brief moments.

I still have a hard time seeing the actor Jonny Depp beat up the asian restaurant host in Donnie Brasco. Yet I am ok with the scene where they saw off the legs of the dead mobsters (basement shooting scene)....
Hmm, need to get my head checked perhaps ;-)

Anything with the eyes. If a knife comes close to an eye I get squemish, which everyone says is weird cuz of all the other shat I have seen in weird horror films.

In Hostel 2 when
[Show spoiler] the really annoying girl is chained and hanging upside down over the empty shallow pool and the other naked women is laying in the pool with the scythe and she's cutting the girl all over and bathing in the blood.
And another scene at the end when
[Show spoiler]the guy gets his "friend" cut off
even though he deserves it.

One question to all those that mentioned I Am Legend. Did you really NOT see that coming? I mean come on, I knew
[Show spoiler]the dog was gonna die
when I saw the previews.

Funny... We watched that part in Boot to show us "why we PT so hard" because if you get tired in hand-to-hand you get dead

We also watched part of The Rock where they break into the base to take the nerve gas to show why you dont sleep on watch

Not kidding.
