I'm definitely interested in seeing this. I actually just saw it listed on imdb earlier today, checked the page out, and the cast piqued my interest. I had no idea it was receiving such an odd multi-faceted release. I'll catch it somewhere....

I just saw this advertised on HDnet yesterday. Was it better than most Scifi TV movies? Usually they only warrant a 1 time view. For those that have seen it, how long is the movie?

it wasn't a made for tv movie. It was made oversees. I dont think it did all to well. They then brought it over to the US for a very minimal thetrical release and then showed it on TV before releasing to video. I caught some glimpses of it on Tv and think it might be well worth buying. Didn't want to watch the whole thing a ruin the blu-ray experience though. Supposedly the storyline isn't all that great but i think if you are a true die-hard sci-fi nut then it will be enjoyable.

I think i have read some reviews that give it more like a B-rated movie type of rating.

I stopped watching after those 20 minutes. Personally I wouldn't even spend the cost of a rental on this movie, but to each his own.

It is definitely a B sci-fi movie in every way. I was hoping for it to be awesome what with the great cast and all but I was disappointed. I forced myself to finish it and I doubt I'll ever feel the slightest urge to watch i again. There were definitely good parts here and there but that certainly is not my genre of choice.

First 45 minutes very (VERY) slow, but vastly improved when the group arrived on their suicide mission beneath the surface of the earth to battle the mutants. A very solid B-movie, if you can get through the first 45.

why would you want to "get through" 45 minutes of a B movie?

the point of a B movie is that they are cheesy yet fun to watch, immediately.

I got a free preview through Amazon Unbox/Tivo a couple of months ago. I watched about 20 minutes of it and turned it off. I love these types of movies but in my opinion this was one of the worst I've ever seen. Great cast but terrible movie. Most of what I watched was too dark, special effects were sub par which shouldn't happen in this day and age. I will not buy this on Blu-ray.

Sounds like Mutant Chronicles would not be a safe purchase tomorrow....I wanted to pick it up but maybe I'd be better served waiting for it to come down in price after seeing some feedback.

Hopefully this'll be a streaming title from netflix so I can check it out first.

I've got it in my que, it's way down on the list, but sometimes it'll give an instant date when titles will be available. Usually B rate movies are instant.

I saw Ron Perlman in Outlander, thought he did a great job. It's just hard to believe that with a great cast the movie apparently bombed in the eyes of this forum and other critics.
