I don't understand the choice of the farellys or any of those actors

I don't really understand making it at all. it's like 'remaking' charlie chaplin. a biopic would make sense (Chaplin is pretty good) but... you can't remake a person or a group of people who work together. remaking stories is one thing, this is ridiculous.

Amen. I could see Carrey 10 years ago when he was kinda funny, but Penn and Del Toro. I think the person casting this film is on drugs.

I agree with the majority of people on here. Aside from Carrey, the others are not even the comedic type. Especially not the type of comedy the Stooges were all about. I think it will just be awkward.

At first this was a shock and seemed like the worse idea ever but then I thought about it and thought about how good of actors these guys are and I think they can pull it off.I am kinda excited to see how this turns out.I had the same reaction when I heard Heath Ledger was the Joker

I was thinking the same thing (a bio pic sort of movie).

But I know that the Farrelly brothers are huge Stooge fans, and have wanted to make this movie for years. In an interview I heard months ago, they mentioned it, and talked about how they doubt it would ever happen, but were still holding out hope.

So I think it's safe to trust them to do well, but the casting choices do seem a bit odd.

This is going to be THE WORST MOVIE EVER. None of those actors will do a good job,. There is no one like the Stooges. Thats why there was never any other acts like them that made it. And Jim Carrey as Curly? I like Jim Carrey but he is nothing like Curly.

I'd rather rather see an old worn out scratchy Three Stooges short or film anyday of the week,If they make a big budget film about the Stooges,I wonder if the surviving members of the real Stooges will get any royalites for this? As for the casting of Jim Carrey,Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro, the real Stooges were Jewish, these actors are not, actually i think Penn might be half, but the other are not. I would have been better to cast Jewish actor's in the likes of like Adam Sandler,Jack Black and Ben Stiller, would be much more authentic. The funny thing is Mel Gibson(the one and only) executive produced a TV movie in 2000 about the Three Stooges.

I never was a fan of The Three Stooges, I always prefered The Marx Brothers or Abbott & Costello but is it just me or this casting make's no sense what so ever?

The casting seems unusual, but I'm not sure who could pull it off.

My real concern is if it can carry a full length picture. The 3 Stooges shorts were great, but the movies were terrible (of course, that was with Curly Joe as the 3rd man.)
