I think you have a good LCD set, but the G10 will handily outperform it in most key areas like ANSI contrast, motion resolution, etc., right out of the box by selecting the preset THX mode...an ISF calibration would show an even greater performance.

Even calibrated the 750 will still suffer from the same ANSI/motion problems that all CCFL-lit LCD sets do.

Your TV is not bad at all. You are going to hate me for this statement LOL, but I am going to say it anyway. Being an owner of the 50A650 plasma and my friend has the LN40A750 LCD my blacks are superior to his. Even though you are looking at a different set to replace it I just figured I would let you know about the difference. Your set it still good but I can tell you are also like myself and others on this site where once you know that you could've gotten better for cheaper it will frustrate you till it drives you mad haha. But call Amazon and I am sure you can work something out with them depending on when you bought your set. Goodluck and I hope everything works out for you so you can be

Do yourself a favor and calibrate it using the Cnet settings before you make a final decision on the set. If you are already using bad settings then of course you're going to hate it, but with the right settings you may be very happy with it. Don't go through the hassle of returning it or selling it without being positive that you're not satisfied. It took me several months of viewing my 42" LCD before I decided I wasn't satisfied. Black level was the main reason, but I also wanted a larger set.

The thing is I would have been satisfied if the blacks were a little better. If I would have gotten the Samsung LCD I originally wanted I wouldn't have gotten the plasma that I currently own. At the time the Sammy was way too expensive for me, but I was nearly drooling over it in a darkened Circuit City. It was obviously calibrated and I was very impressed. The black bars in Transformers were blending into the bezel. The best plasmas do beat the best LCD's but the gap is not that big. In fact, the best LCD's beat lesser plasmas pretty easily.

Go to Walmart and look at some lower end plasmas by Vizio(THIS model is excellent though) and Sanyo, or go to Sear's and look at some entry level Hitachi sets and you'll appreciate your set a whole lot more. My LG LCD is a good set, but it doesn't hold a candle to your Sammy. If you are not satisfied after using the Cnet settings then the Panny you're looking at is an excellent choice to consider.

"I recently purchased a samsung lna750 tv and was impressed by the product."

OK, so if you are impressed with it, why would you care what someone else is saying about it? Don't like it, sell it.

Yeah,

I would try the TweakTV settings...

http://www.tweaktv.com/tweak-my-tv/c...ln-46a750.html

(I think that's your model, right.)

With LCD, it's bright enough to watch with the lights on and you don't have a bulb to replace that can burn out at any moment. You're set and you may be a better "fit" than you realize.

Of course,.... it's you so you will decide. If they will take it back and you want to send it back then I hope that works out for you.
