They really don't need to be. Most of them are the ones you see and see alot of other movies after it doing somewhat of the same thing.

Was thinking also along the lines of groundbreaking movies like The Matrix, Toy Story, Terminator 2, and even The Dark Knight (IMAX sequences has opened the door for Transformers and Iron Man, already).

Although, sequels and similar movies have occurred for each of the ones listed so, tough to say what movie is truly "one of a kind". I'll go with Forrest Gump.

Still not sure why the shaking camera bothers people, I watched Cloverfield twice and it didn't bother me once.

Never bothered me. I've said it before. It made me feel like I was the one there and not watching a guy holding a carmera. Thats why I love Saving Private Ryan.

Still not sure why that movie is so popular, oh well. I think it would've been a lot better with actual interaction with the monster and a lot more Odette Yustman.
