I don't want to be hyping myself up for another video game as I'm not done with C&C yet, but it's hard not too! This looks like the nerdy adventure I've been waiting for since Oblivion.

I know it's more like Diablo, I just meant that I've been waiting for a fantasy RPG since I played Oblivion. I'll most likely be picking this up

Baldurs gate ll & Return of Champions of Norrath are hard to come by at brick & mortar stores. Killzowned 2 keeps me busy even though it's not hack n' slash rpg.

champions return to arms.
it wasn't prequel though. it was supposed to be sequel but was really just a sad attempt at an expansion.
but hey, they got my money.

Hmm I think more or less a 50/50 blend...
At least sacred was, the world was huge with many cities, dungeons, hell you could even buy a horse and explore the world.

The combos were very promissing, as you could chain multiple spells together.

I wonder if that will return for the second one.

Well they've mentioned this so far about the mounts:

Mounts will join in the fight without restricting your ability to perform special attacks.
So I think thats really cool how much effort they are putting into this game.

In the original sacred you could fight while riding a horse a concept that totally escaped oblivion.

Imagine mage throwing fireballs while riding his war horse..

There were certain abilities in the original sacred that could not be performed while riding, but that was specific to actions that either required specific movements or access to multiple body parts, such as the barbarians punch kick punch special move.

Diablo 2 had open terrains to it. Granted it wasn't to the level of games like Fallout 3 or Oblivion, but there was still a good number of outdoor killing.

Hmm well I felt there were more quests in sacred, that had nothing to do with the main quest that convinced you to do more exploring.

I've never played Sacred before so I have no point of reference other than my experiences with the Diablos in which people are comparing this game to.
