Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sin City and Planet Terror were all excellent flicks, proving that he is truly a very talented and visionary director. With that said, Predator is my favorite movie of all time, and I just don't think anyone can do justice to the original. It's just an impossible task which shouldn't even be attempted. Why not just finally make the 3rd one? That would make a lot more sense.

Probably not many. He died in 1991.

Why remake Predator? It doesnt need it... at all. Why not a re-boot or a sequel? I just dont get it.

A sequel yes, but still not from Rodriguez. I see absolutely no need for a reboot or remake. Both Predator films are great fun as it is! Arnie's one liners make half the movie, so who can they possibly get that is a big enough action star to pull off the one liners too, nobody! Arnie is a one of a kind. He will probably also make the native woman from the village Rose McGowan. Who wants to bet Cheech and Trejo are villagers as well?

Wow, Good call! Found this on Wikipedia. Pretty sad how his life ended...

Personal life
While filming a guest spot on the television show, 227, Hall met actress Alaina Reed. The couple would marry both on the show, and in real life. Together, they had two children.

In the fall of 1990, Hall was involved in a serious car accident in Los Angeles. It was widely rumored that during surgery for his critical wounds, he received a blood transfusion that was contaminated with HIV. Soon after his transfusion, the HIV developed into AIDS and he went public with his illness with the full support of his wife. On April 10, 1991, Hall died from AIDS complications.

you know i don't think i really care about this one way or another. i really don't alike ahnorld. i think his acting is about a step up from mediocre. he did in some roles, as i liked terinator 2: judgment day and kindergarten cop. otherwise he never did anything for. i say remake it. can't get any worse. i'm also not a real big fan of most of the typical 80's action flicks.

Isn't there a law against remaking quality movies?

There's get to be one...where is it!?

Obviously you can't be a big fan of 80's action because Arnold is in the staple of every guy's action diet. Come On, even his comedies where golden back than! He made 10 big hits in only 6 years!

Twins (1988)
Red Heat (1988)
The Running Man (1987)
Predator (1987)
Raw Deal (1986)
Commando (1985)
Red Sonja (1985)
The Terminator (1984)
Conan the Destroyer (1984)
Conan the Barbarian (1982)

Remaking Predator is BLASPHEMY!

If there was, Uwe Boll would have been executed after House of the Dead.

I love the original but I still support this and look forward to it. Rodriguez is a fantastic and creative director. I have faith.

So you like to be able to pretend you could be an action hero? J/K, so basically you're a Statham fan than....I see

In your opinion perhaps, but Robert Rodriguez is likely one of the only folks that could pull off a Predator remake.

Bloody Disgusting got the scoop back in January, but it is official now. Robert Rodriguez is doing a film called PREDATORS, which he's calling a reboot to the series.

I'm hoping it's more reboot and less remake. Anyone remember the Predator script Rodriguez did back in the '90s that never got made? The one that had Dutch scooped up and taken to the PREDATOR homeworld? That was also called PREDATORS, so I wonder how much of that script will be in his reboot. I love the idea of the Predators collecting up various aliens that have defeated a Predator and pitting them against each other for combat's sake. We can't get Dutch 'cause Schwarzenegger's too busy being a respectable citizen now and Danny Glover probably wouldn't work in this aspect, but we can have a good starring role for a new badass.

The question remains... how much, if any, of Rodriguez's previous script will make it into this movie, how will he shoot it (real sets or greenscreen) and when will it happen... All good questions. I have reached out to Robert trying to get some answers. We'll see if he responds. I'll let you know!

to each his own I guess. That's what I hate about today's action stars, they're all like Matt freaking Damon or Statham type. I miss the massive muscles type, Arnold, Sly, Van Damme, Kurt Russell, those types of guys. They don't make em like they used too . Although "The Expendibles" is giving me hope with the return of Sly again . Vin Diesel had a shot then ruined his career with The pacifier etc... The Rock did too, but he wants to be taken as a "serious actor" unfortunately and we no longer have a massive action star like the 80's and 90's. We're stuck with wussy looking action heroes who have to have 10 million cuts per second to make it look like they "might" be able to pull off some of the moves they're supposed to know.
