been one of my favorite comedies since I was very very young (too young to get many of the jokes, around 7 like one of the other posters said).

I'll be buying them both ASAP.

I'm always surprised they kept that part in the home video release. Without the Led Zeppelin intro that line makes absolutely no sense.
Like I mentioned I just watched this a few weeks ago, and on HDNET, they had the changed music, but still showed the "No Stairway?! Denied! line which yeah is still funny but in the context makes no sense, I really hope that's corrected for the BD.

He means when Wayne is checking out the guitar and plays the intro to Stairway, but almost all versions have random music that isn't Stairway, so the employee pointing at the "No Stairway" sign makes no sense when Wayne doesn't even play the Stairway intro.

well according to wikipedia, to many people would play stairway so record shops put up signs saying no stairway, but i did not know stairway originally played in the background

Well now that I think about it, the filmmakers probably left it in as an in-joke when they couldn't use the actual Stairway riff for non-theatrical versions.

So while the joke in the movie is weird, the context of them not being able to use it in the movie is funny. It's almost as if Wayne is speaking on behalf of the filmmakers by saying, "No Stairway [because we didn't get the rights?!] Denied!"
