But the answer to the question is Raging Bull.

Technically, they CAN be called opening CREDITS since the production is GIVING CREDIT to those that are being listed in the title sequence.

As for my vote on the best OPENING CREDITS?

Definitely, by a long shot, these two take the trophy without anyone coming close...

Reservoir Dogs is a classic.

Original Dawn of the Dead and the chaos in the tv studio is really good too.

X-Men. When Patrick Stewart started talking I knew at that moment that this was going to be a great movie. X2 was good also but did not have the same affect on me. Another movie opening I loved was The Rock. Michael Bay's best movie.

I prefer NO opening credits. Just show me the title and lets get on with it. But if I was going to name one it would be Eyes Wide Shut.
