That is simply not true. He is coming back because he feels he can do better than he did last year. Don't try and feed me that two game nonsense. I have no doubt he wants to beat Green Bay, but that's not why he is mulling a return. Favre wants to show the world he is still good. We'll see how he does.

I had alot of respect for Favre and how he played the game, but he has shown recently that he cannot except the fact that the game has passed him by. He has pretty much accomplished all he could in the sport and now it's time for another generation to take over. Do us all a favor and don't come back. And shame on the Vikings for even considering it.

as a life long PACKER fan....i respect and love favre for what he did for us. if he goes to the Vikings, it'll just be more chances for Harris, Woodson, Bigby, and Collins to boost their INT #'s!!

i hate the Vikings w/a passion, always have, always will, if u cut open my chest, u'll see a green and gold heart beating!!!

Favre can do what he wants, i'll accept that, whatever it is. i just hope he has the descency that when he finally says goodbye for good, he signs and retires as a Packer the same way Rice did w/the 49ers, b/c no matter what he did last year, or does this year, he'll always be a Packer in my book.

+, who is he gonna throw to in a Vikings uniform??? it's not like they have the same caliber of recvr's the Packers do.

The Vikings may be a QB away from a Superbowl and they'll sell a lot of tickets and jerseys if this happens. I don't blame them one bit.

If the Lions start 0-4/0-5 you know you'll be seeing him. If the lions are 2-2/2-3 they'll keep Daunte on the field for sure.

If Favre comes back I'd think he'll play another 2 years in the league.... I hope.

I also think it would be a good pickup for the Vikings if they agree. However, I don't think they are one QB away from the SB.

they are def. not a Super Bowl team if Favre comes back. @ best they are a division winner and loser in the 1st round of the playoffs.

The NFC North can be a very tough division next year.. That's said on paper

well, my Packers are putting in a new defense, so unless that new corrdinator can whip them into shape immediately, it could be a long season for me.

i'm thinking the bears are gonna take it now that they have a stable QB, but he still doesn't have any big threats to throw too, so that will be interesting.

i'm not even gonna comment on the Lions (sorry schultzy).

and the Vi-queens (had to ), the have the running game, their d-line is solid, but that's about it.

Bernard Berrian, maybe?

All Favre would need to do is accurately dink & dunk some passes which would open up the world for arguably the best RB in the league, AP. They'd be a serious contender with him.

Regardless, I don't see it happening so GB fans should be able to sleep a little easier.

Do you see him dinking and dunking? I sure don't.

He'll likely have to pass a physical, anyway, and I have not heard BOO about the torn bicep.

And about being a QB away from the Superbowl, weren't the Jets just that before last season, especially with NE out of the way (who really were a QB away last year).

It's completely laughable to even say Favre wants to come back just to show he still can. He would not be back, if there were not an NFC North opportunity. If he really just wanted to play, and if it was believed he really had something great to contribute, he'd still be in New York.

if cpep is getting sacked left and right and they are 0-4/0-5 then they'd be foolish to think he'd do any better.. Just let him sit and throw him in next year if the season is like it was last year.

didn't impress me last season when we played them, besides, we've got the best combo of d-backs in the league in Woodson and Harris and a lot of backups that can hold their own as well.

peterson is really the only threat they have on offense right now, their TE is up and coming though.

i'm not to worried anyway, everyone on the Packers played w/Favre long enough to know what to expect w/how he plays. that and they've played the Vikings enough to have a very good idea of what to expect from the team as a whole.

A lot of people assumed they drafter Harvin as a weapon for Favre. I don't know about that, but they should have a decent passing game with Berrian, Sidney Rice, Harvin, Shiancoe, and Peterson/Chester Taylor, who are both threats. Sidney Rice needs to stay healthy after a decent rookie year followed by a poor second year. If they have a decent quarterback than their offense is a threat.
