If you are referring to Bethesda, then I think what you mean. However, in those cases they didn't announce it was a delayed release as much as stating they weren't making plans for the PS3. Though months afterwards it was announced it was just a timed exclusiveness.

Caliblue, why does FFXIII going multiplatform has to be a "magnitude" of something? It's one thing for another console to get to play the same thing you will and at the same time. It's something completely different when a game you thought you would be able to play is put on hold.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is/was widely accepted as an interesting game (especially after the opening cinematics shown on Gametrailers.com). NOW, after this report, the game isn't much of this or this and looks like crap or meh. MANY people have talked about how great they felt about this title. Obviously, Sony believes it's a good game as well.

Just for future notice, a potentially good game turning into an exclusive is bigger than not being an exclusive any longer. I'm glad Sony is fighting MS with a twist on their on tactics, WHILE still creating amazing unique games (and adding many new features to the console).

Honestly, I find it amusing so many MS fans are getting up in arms about this, when they laugh at PS3 owners constantly over stuff MS bought. The fact that Sony let's a property of theirs come out for competitors at all is amazing, and honestly, at least they know it WILL come to their systems, unlike MS timed exclusives where they deny its existence and make us wait more than a year for something. Funny when the shoe is on the other foot, huh? Plus, from what I can tell, anyone in Europe can import the US version-- unless it's region locked, which Xbox or Wii can do, of course.

A good deal of X360 owners aren't going to be swayed by anything but a X360 game. It doesn't matter on that front. However, people that ARE very interested in a PS3 and Ghostbusters (and other games in the PS3 line up) are probably going to buy.

BTW, the deal just appears to be an exchange of services with maybe a little cash on top.

Am I the only one not bothered by the big guys paying for exclusiveness?

It really singles out the correct version to buy, PS3 or 360.

You should thank 'em for making it timed exclusive, because then you won't have to compare both formats before you buy.

This sounds more like Atari looking to get the PS3 version out for as cheap as possible so that they can distribute the other versions later when/if it makes money.

I wonder what would have happened to the game (if anything) if Atari hadn't gotten Sony to partner up on distribution?

For as jinxed as this one has been, I really hope it gets rave reviews and makes a killing.

Just chill out. FFXIII was an example because it was the biggest blow to sony fans, and not once did I say the game was crap, how can i say that if I haven't played it.

And this whole post was what I was talking about, people are going ape shit over this.. its not that big of a deal...

And Sorry why would I want Sony to spend money on a game that's been multiplatform since the beginning? What a waste of money, and its exactly why i asked Max if they spent money on this or are just helping out Atari to get this out to more people, because Atari is hard for funds.

Your looking at it that way since you have both consoles, Most people only have one PS3 or 360... what do you do then.

Very funny reading the meltdowns. This is just Sony giving MS a tiny bit of it's own medicine. Sony have said in the past moneyhatting for DLC etc and paying for timed exclusives is low brow. But MS keep doing it. And with the bad publicity for the PS3 it generates maybe Sony have thought we'l have to sink to their levels?.

It's called fight fire with fire. This happens in many situations. Some have better results than others.

I'm sure he was just comparing it to affecting Worldwide such as the FXIII announcement.
