Watched all 5 movies today, home sick from work. They blew me away.

Most surprising was movie #2. A couple scenes I felt like I was sitting on the set watching them film. Of course, it had its soft moments as well, but when scenes 'popped', boy did they! 1, 3 and 4 were all pretty decent too, obviously getting better with each new movie.

But movie #5? I admit I havent watched all my BRDs yet, but this was easily the best looking BRD I have had the pleasure to watch so far.

I also remembered I saw it in theaters on a crappy old projector that had birghtness/contrast issues, so I missed a lot of standard details. So that probably help raise my opinion of the BRD, but still... amazing...

Default Is anyone selling Harry Potter 1-5 (JUST THE BOX)

I know this sounds weird, but i was wondering if someone is just selling the case or box or chest or whatever u call it. I dont need the movies or anything else, i just really like the holder, anyone selling it? Let me know and please no insults or random comments

It's highly unlikely people are going to sell just the box because it's hard to hold the movies in those cases without it

vektar,

You shouldn't have to keep that HD DUD of GoF,.. just return it and explain.

I got it from the WB's online store so it could be months before me or anyone else who got the HDdvd of goblet sees it on blu.

I'd be shocked if they didnt' have something set up by new year's

The exchange programs that take months are ones where they have to go in and reauthor and repress

Default Harry Potter Years 1-5 - what happened ?

Has anyone else received this blu-ray set . I pre-ordered this set and sold my unopened blu-ray singles because this box set was advertised as having Dolby TrueHD soundtracks. On the back of the box it shows NO SUCH THING. They have been re-released with the original PCM English 5.1 tracks again. The ONE AND ONLY reason I bought this was for the supposed Dolby TrueHD soundtracks . Now that I took a closer look ( I haven't opened the set yet) it has 2 copies of The Order of the Phoenix, The Goblet of Fire is not here ! ! ! Anyone els having this problem ?

Um. Isn't PCM uncompressed , and therefore, superior (possibly inaudibly).

the duplicate movie issue definitely sucks, but why would you want Dolby TrueHD over PCM? Unless it was advertised as 24 bit TrueHD instead of the 16bit PCM it originally came with.

Yeah, and in this case they're both 16-Bit, and the TrueHD track will have been dialnormed (not a big deal, but still). So why would you complain about there being an uncompressed track in place of a lossless one?

blu rays are only in original aspect ratio (99.9% of the time atleast)

so you'll be getting the widescreen version no matter where you buy

I'm also dying on getting this set. Its really cool. But I can just imagine what they'll do when all the movies are out on Blu-Ray. I'm gonna wait on these. I already own 1-5 on DVD, so my plan is to keep buying 6, 7 part 1 and 2 on DVD and then the whole collection on Blu Ray.

Default Harry Potter 1-5 cover art?

Anyone know where I can get some scanned cover art or custom cover art for Harry Potter 1-5? I looked around but I couldn't find anything. I ordered the box set but I don't like these thin cases too much. Call me anal but I like my cases matching
