I won't say I will never get a tattoo because never say never. I just don't find them interesting right now. It's like that nice clean wall in the men's bathroom - well used to be - until you see how everyone has written something on it. Just looks messy to me.

I wish I had a pic available, but I'm at work right now....maybe I'll provide a pic of mine later tonight....wouldn't mind anyone's 2 cents on it.....

By the way, when I got my sleeve done, the elbow is a real pain in the a$$! It swells up like a balloon. He could only work on it for short spurts each time, as he couldn't do anything with it after it had ballooned up, which only took about 20 minutes or so. Anyone else out there with something done over their elbow would agree, I'm sure!

Yeah, I could see breathing being an issue, but I assume you had the option to lie down on your side? I hated the way I had to contort my arm so he could do the elbow. It was twisted around, etc....and I could feel the needle rattling my chest bone the entire time he was working on it. If I talked, I swore you could hear my voice rattling as well......

I had to go on my side but sitting up and my arm over my head!

Oh man i hate that rattling, my rib cage felt like it was being drilled by a pavement drill! haha.

Funny though, I loved getting the inside of my forearm done. It was like a massage. So strange.

Same here....I guess it's because the inside is not nearly as weathered as the rest of the arm, thus making it easier for the needle to do it's job?

Do you have any around your hip area? Particularly toward the outer hip where it's just skin and bone.

I think an old school LCD clock font would look very old school 1984 techie.

Very cool book. Anyone remember when Apple used the 1984 Big Brother concept for their Macintosh computer? Am I showing my age?

Hmm, I like some of Brett's designs, but I like the original typeface the best.
I want plain black for the color.

I still haven't made up my mind on the size. I'm thinking 1.5x3ish, but I'm not positive. Would 2x4 be too big? Btw, I have no muscles on my shoulder if that makes a difference.

Is getting this going to be like excruciating pain? Should I take some Vicodin before to stop it from hurting?

In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable—what then?

Here in Washington it's $100 an hour, and I know women who have gotten small tattoos around the size you want and it cost about $70 for it, so they can be done cheaply and still be quality. Personally I've only ever gotten large and very time costing pieces so my minimum chair experience for one tattoo thus far has been 4 hours, other where twice that for starters, lol.

Thanks...but to be honest, I like your original post font the best as well. I was just trying to give you some ideas in case something lit a light bulb over your head.

FWIW - I think 2"x4" would be a good size for this tat. I wouldn't imagine that it would hurt too bad on the shoulder region.
