When I hear "Anthony Hopkins", I think the "mad" trilogy of "The Bounty", "Nixon" and "Titus".
Hannibal is just his pimp-for-a-buck cartoon character, and we wish he'd stop falling back on it.

(After having seen "Red Dragon", in fact, thought his now-autopilot attempts to do Lecter's "menacingly" mannered Southern drawl began to sound more and more like Dr. Smith from "Lost in Space"...Oh, the pain.)

I agree! I have yet to see the second season but I'm looking forward to it. I don't do it that often nowadays but I'll probably blind buy that second season.
