1. Brady..in this day and age in the NFL, what he has done is amazing
2. Montana..the ultimate money and under pressure QB
3. Unitas....if he played in the 90's or 00's, he would have been awesome
4. Young..he missed out on his first 5 yrs or so behind Montana and at TB...
5. Elway...sooo much talent that finally got some legitimate help in Denver in the late 90's...

My 2 cents anyway....

I actually didn't put down Staubach and Aikman because I didn't want to be accused of being a Homer.

I've always wondered what Staubach's stats would of looked like if he had gone straight to the NFL after college.

There are only three QB's in history that you could put on any team (even mediocre ones) and they could carry them into the play offs all by themselves...they are also kings of the comeback.

1. Joe Montana
2. Roger Staubach
3. John Elway

Is it just me or are we forgetting a major QB?

I'm talking about Warren Moon. That guy was phenomenal.

I disagree highly with the comments that Favre is overrated, but I'll just leave it at that.

favre was awesome in the mid to late '90s. i personally hate him just because they eliminated the niners 3 times in the playoffs gb upset the niners in the '95 divisional when the niners were favored to repeat as champs. it kinda sucks when i think about it

5. Eric Couch
4. Steve Grogan
3. Todd Marinovich
2. Jeff George
1. Johnny Unitas

This list is easy. Behind Johnny U, you can put anyone and it does not matter. He was just that good. There was a reason he had a restaurant called the Golden Arm.

I agree with this entire post. Without Marino, Moon would be that guy who had the phenomenal stats but no SB's. And if anybody was afraid to put Brady as even their number one guy, you shouldn't be. The guys not even done, the Pats might be the favorites this year, he's already got 3 rings in 4 trips, and it's only going to be, what, his 10th year or so?!?! I always thought that he was just an average QB with a genius of a coach/coordinator, but I don't think anybody wants to win like he does. When he is done, the "greatest" title will be between him and Montana.

Hilarious post, but you forgot Vinny Testaverde, and what about Eric Kramer!
