agreed, but keep in mind original works CAN be improved upon by others. Just because T1 came first doesnt mean subsequent films "owe" it anything, especially if they turn out to be superior.

that also doesnt mean someone should shit all over the source material and disrespect it totally just because "its their vision". Its a very fine line these directors have to toe.

I definitely agree with you but I think it is better maybe not by much but I liked it

From all the reviews I have read (about 5 around online) everyone seems to say it is a pretty solid movie but does falter in some areas. Overall a good steady entrance to "restart" the franchise. I can't wait to see it.

spoiler

They actually mention something about I guess it’s the opposite though. Marcus wanted to go to skynet hq but reese tells him to wait till morning they hunt better at night or something like that. There are some night scenes. FYI it was filmed in New Mexico

They have to learn how to operate, they dont just have it in em..

Besides if you were fighting high tech machines humans would be the ones not being able to see in the dark. There is technology now that can pin point a knats azz at 1000 meters on a foggy night, and rain down some serious hate and discontent.

P.S. How big of a douche do you have to be to refer to yourself as "McG"?
Hey, if your real name was Joseph McGinty Nichol, you would call yourself McG too .

My point is it would be a disadvantage to the humans more than the machines. The machines (assuming we are not back dating the technology to 1984) would be much better equipped for low visibility combat.

If I remember right it was noise and other distractions that allowed the humans to disappear, the blended into the noise.

The key thing to remember it is a movie...

I know your'e talking about humans but since this is all hypothetical seems to me if the Ts have "Predator" like vision, humans wouldn't have any advantage over it scurrying around like rats in the darkness

I think the opposite would be true. An advanced robot could detect a human during the night time as easily as the daytime. If anything, I would imagine the night only hurts humans.

Honestly...how many people base their decisions on what to watch based on what the critics say? I for one am going as well!

I prefer to base my decisions on the opinions of people who, when a new movie comes out, are mainly worried about what the PQ/AQ will be like on the blu-ray.

I think the older crowds over the age of 30 might be a little bit more influenced than other's. I mean, I honestly think Star Trek's massive positive reviews and great word of mouth has helped it's box office numbers for it's second weekend. I think in the end, it doesn't really matter with a summer blockbuster like this(for me anyways), but also it doesn't mean it can't help it either.

but thats another thread.
Are we really gonna start this nonsense. Rappers don't belong in movies. GMAFB. If they have the talent to act and can deliver then they belong in the movie. I think Will Smith and Queen Latifah have made a pretty good career out of it.
